Riverside is the fourth largest county in the state of California, and I since I've been employed with the Sheriff's Department, I've gained lots of wisdom and knowledge in the law enforcment field. Also, there are meny opportunities for advancement and higher pay in every position - whether it's a sworn or non-sworn .
Never underestimate your self worth and job skills. Apply and test for whatever position you feel you're qualified for and capable of doing an excellent job in. You won't know if you don't try.
Because they are my family of brothers and sisters putting their life on the line to serve and protect
RCSO has been very instrumental in making officers of all agencies and states very effective at what they are there to do.
Good place to work and advance
RSO is a very professional department with high standards.
Good department to work for
Good department to work for. Rapidly growing and a lot of hance for advancement
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department Is The Best Department I have Seen Yet. I Have Never Seen A Department That Has So Much Support For Its Deputies. A Call For Help Goes Out And Half The Department Is There. Its A Great Agency!
It May Be Tuff To Go Through The Employment Process But It Is Worth Every Minute.
Our current sheriff has not dispalyed any leadership and the culture is not threr. No camaderie as in other depts. our size.
Overall the dept. is not bad, but our association "RSA" stinks.
The Department is excellent in education and a strong training curriculum in all phases of law enforcement. The department adopted Ben Clarke Public Safety Training Center for all Law Enforcement Agencies & Fire Departments.
If one is seeking a career in Law Enforcement, consider this department as a long standing career. The only demands for this department, one must strive for Honesty, Integrity, and must always speak the Truth.

All of my dealings with this dept. both as a civilian in routine contact and as an applicant have been fairly pleasant and professional.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department "Rocks"
We're hiring--Big time!
As with a lot of large departments, promotion depends on "who you know, not what you know".
Riverrside County Sheriff deserve this rating due to the remarkable job they are conducting even though they are currently under staffed and still keeping "scum baggs" off the streets.
Please do... It will not only benifet you but all of the residents in the area you work for. Do it cause you love it, not for the money! There is no point in preforming a job you hate, those are the cops people reffer to as "dicks!"
