Just meeting the personnel staff and the friendliness of the command staff made an impression on me that this was an exceptional agency that you would want to work for. I went onto a University Police Department.

Advice for prospective applicants:

It may appear to be a small S.O. compared to others, they go out of there way to make you feel that you want to be a part of there team!

This agency is one of the most professional and advanced in the country. Even though it has grown to the size it is, it still remains a family type Sheriffs Office. The leadership is second to none and they strive to provide the best for their employees.

It is a wonderful agency in every way possible.

Forward thinking, most of the higher leadership have obtained or are obtaining further education. Good possibility for advancement as the county is growing very fast. Excellent area/schools and beaches.

Future growth will increase advancement potential. Fortunate to have the up leadership we do, in most cases.
