Overall it is a great place to work. Sheriff's come and go but the current Sheriff is one of the best we have had in the 19 years of my employment. We are finally coming out of the dark ages and getting current.
Do your homework. Learn the county roads, be the best applicant you can be. Do not lie, be forth coming in anything that might be in your closet, so to speak, so it does not come forward later. Be friendly to everyone you meet and treat all person's with RESPECT, the way you would want to be treated.

The leadership gives themselves raises up 120,000 a year, however the deputies are making 36,000 a year. they do some training and are becomig tighter about it. If you dont fit in the circle you are left out in the wind.
