Very weak Chief of Police, who fails to support her command staff. Chief refuses to dispute department critics, too much political undermining. West (Left) Coast attitude towards aggressive pro-active police work, weak policing and continuing lack of public support

The department is very political. new mayor new chief. The men and women have no support of the police commission, board of supervisors, and at times the chief. The Office of Citizens Complaint is inept. Tthey solicit complaints from arrestees. They file complaints when there is no justification. They do not look for the truth. Yet these brave men and women work diligently to serve the people of SF under adverse conditions under an extremely liberal government.

Look at other agencies, even Oakland which was listed as the fourth most dangerous city

I enjoy working for the SFPD and I have been with them for 10 years now, I do think there are some problems with leadership.
