I work for New Hanover County Public Safety aka 911 in Wilmington N.C. The Census Bureau 2006 estimates set the population of the Wilmington Metropolitan area at 326,166, making it the sixth largest metropolitan area in the state. It is the county seat of New Hanover County. Our 911 center is a fairly large center, on average we answer 180,000 911 calls a year and 260,000 administrative calls a year. All of our telecommunicators are cpr, emd, efd and dci certified along with other various certifications.
I enjoy spending time away from work,debriefing. Whether it be spending time with my family or friends. Enjoy the spring and summer months and beach season the best. Cold weather brrrrrrrrr......not for me. My photo albums are some photos of my youngest child getting ready to fly the coup, he turned 18 in Feb. All around athlete, and ladies man. Also are some pictures of my "little man" Zachary, my first grand child,with his mom (my oldest daughter). I am proud of both of my children. I am proud to say I raised them on my own. Second time around, was married to Leo,(was being the operative word) that is another story.So, needless to say I have been subjected to one that opposes the law, and one that upholds the law!!! I am enjoying every minute of being "Nana" and it is much sweeter and more enjoyable the second time around. I see the reflection of my daughter growing up all over again through "my little man." Now I have a new addition......my daughter finally gave birth to her second child Feb 16,08 Zoie Autumn Marie Kegley. 6lbs 10 0zs 18 inches long. Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.
