About Me:: Got introduced to this site via my job posting for fraud investigation and find it interesting. I am born/bred Californian - 5th generation which means something to some people :0) I'm on the cutting edge of the BabyBoom wave, racing toward my first Social Security check because I was bombed out in the mortgage fracas and my employer bellied up. So much for that, huh. Can't rely on anything, you know. Grew up in the "Wine Country" when it was only known as "the country" or "the sticks", then moved to Honolulu, then San Francisco, then Africa and here I am back in the sticks. That all spans 40 years of fun and adventure, and I'm on the lookout for more of the same. I am married, have a son, daughter (who is married to Badge) and 2 grandkids all of whom I am very proud. I'm trying to groom the grands about serving our planet in a better way than we historically have; teaching them to remember to take care: we are all responsible for our thoughts, which ultimately becomes the way of our lives. I do believe they "get it"! While overseas I played competative darts, #1 singles for a British team. I thought I was very cool until I met the National Champ of Thailand in a darts bar in Bangkok: he took me out in 5 seconds. A very nice reminder that I was just a beginner.. My law experience includes 2 arrests! one DUI when I was young and stupid (I am a huge fan of referring to it as a DRINK/drive offense, not "drunk" because people believe you have to be falling-down "drunk" to be incapaciated! NOT!). And once during a famine run out to the nomad camps with a journalist in Africa. We both were arrested because I was using my camera (!) even though I showed my camera license - the soldier couldn't read Arabic. Had an interesting run-through-the-desert-with-bullets-flying escape. Now I have a home-based business and spend my free time playing competative tennis (went to national championships), walking my border collie and writing "my book" HAHA - let's see if this is ever published!

I know you can get a ticket for not being buckled up, Buttercup; however can you get a ticket if you start the ignition before you engage the seat...
