About Me:
Mr. Scott Fyfe is a twenty five year veteran of law enforcement. He attended Seminole Community College as a Criminal Justice Technology Major in 1977. He began his law enforcement career with the Lake Mary Police Department, Florida, and was promoted up the ranks to Lieutenant. He was Acting Chief of Police in the Chief's absence. In 1983 Mr. Fyfe was hired by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, located in the Greater Metro Orlando Florida area. During his tenure he served 15 years in the Criminal Investigations Division as a Sheriff’s Detective. He was assigned to Patrol, Pawnshop Unit, Burglary Squad, Auto Theft Unit, Career Criminal Unit and the Intelligence Division. He also served as Chairman of the Sheriff's Office Legislative Committee. He retired in 2000 with over 20 years of service. Mr. Fyfe has lectured on property crime issues to law enforcement groups throughout the United States. He is past President of the Florida Law Enforcement Property Recovery Unit. He has served over 15 years as a director of non-profit law enforcement educational associations. Mr. Fyfe is the founder of the International Association of Property Crime Investigators and was hired by the executive board to be the association’s first executive director. Awards Received: 2000 - Outstanding Florida Property Recovery Investigator of the Year, 1997 - Florida Anti-Car Theft Committee-recognition of outstanding contributions in combating auto theft, 1996 - Award for diligent and professional service in property crime, 1996 - Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Unit Citation for exceptional teamwork, 1992 – Kiwanis Club Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the year.
