About Me:
Originally grew up on the north side of Chicago. Started in police work in 1993 with the Sauk Village, Illinois PD (southern Cook Cty., 18 man Dept., w/population of about 13000). While with SVPD, I was a member of the South Suburban Emergency Response Team (SSERT) and the Network 1 Gang Unit. I have been working for the Joliet, Ilinois PD (300 man Dept. w/pop. of 150,000) since 1998. Currently working in Patrol Division as a K9 officer and FTO. Member of our Special Operations Squad (SWAT). I do or did a little bit of everything from Union work (FOP/Joliet Police Labor Counsil Vice-President), to bicycling (IPMBA certified), to child safety seat tech, juvenile officer, breathalyser certified (AAIM Drunkbuster), Honor Guard (I've posted at the National and Illinois Officer Memorials), and started accident reconstruction classes at Northwestern University. Have trained and taught all over the State of Illinois. I was a Recruit Supervisor at the Illinois State Police Academy (Class 400-80).
