- About Me:
- Hello Everyone. SEE THAT GOGROUS WOMAN HOLDING THE LITTLE FLUFFY DOG, THAT IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!! My name is Jim. I have always found it quite hard to sit down and write something about myself , but I will do my best. I have lead a full and wild life up until I decided to joint the United States Navy when I was 22. At that time I was not doing anything with my life except working two jobs, blowing off my college classes and hanging out at the local Bar. Its funny, You know you are hanging out at the bar to much when you friends all call you there. I even had my own bar stool. haha. I enlisted in the Navy in March of 1995 and soon discovered that I was the old man of my boot camp division I had to work very hard to keep up with all these teenagers right out of high school . I had no idea how to study either because I was not at all a studious person. I spent most of my time while in High school either cutting class or in the principal's office. I spent alot of time in that office and either in-school suspension or suspension. I had loved high school so much that I decided to stay an extra year. I was able to graduate 263 out of 264. Talk about getting by on the skin of your teeth. While in Boot camp I had to teach myself how to study fast. and I managed to squeak by at graduation second in my class. After graduation I was stationed on the USS Elliot DD-976 ( a Destroyer) I loved every second of the Navy but my heart lied somewhere else. After going around the world twice, I decided it was time for me to pursue my dream of becoming a Forest Ranger. After taking the police test I was able to secure a full time position at West Point Military Academy as a building supervisor. This was my sit and wait job until i got call for an interview to be a Ranger. This job was actually a very good one. I worked directly worth the cadets and made many great friend officers and enlisted, whom i still keep in contact with. My favorite time of the year at West Point was the Army Navy football game. I would go into work very early in the morning and put huge banners hanging over the roof ( Go Navy beat Army.) hahaha It was good clean fun. They knew it was me and the cadets would break into my office and put all my stuff out in the hall. hahaha. GOOD TIMES!! In April of 2001 my dream became a reality and was hired as a NJ State Ranger. I completed my Police Academy training in January of 2002 The academy was rough as well, again I found myself as one of the older people in the group. physically i was able to keep up but, academically I had to work ten times harder than anyone else. When all the other recruits were winding down at the end of the night, I would be studying until lights out every night. Again, all my hard work paid off and I graduated with a 94%. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and Most of the people that I have to deal with on a daily basis. I make it a point to talk to a lot of the old timers and WW 2 vets that come to the park. I have made many quality friends in doing so. I have a couple that comes to the park every week or so to chit chat. Great people whit great stories. We have adopted each other. hahaha That just about sums it up on my life. Recently our department went through a command re-structuring and we have dropped the Ranger title and went to a Police title. There is no difference however,we do the same job as we always have . I am also a field training officer and the top Search and Rescue guy for the North as well. If you have any questions about my life feel free to ask. I am an open book

"Legislative Alert for Veterans: As of Friday, 1 August 08, your GI Bill is worth up to $47,556. This is close to an $8,000 raise over last year. The benefit is paid directly to you to help pay for tuition, books, school supplies, and any other fee associated with getting a degree. A smart first step to using your GI Bill ..." |
