NEVER AGAIN
The tears of the children begin to fall
Through blackened eyes we look in awe
For the one true love is the one to blame
But refuses to accept the shame
With slaps and punches the romance begins
But this domestic they will never win
To be in total control is their goal
As they love that feeling to their very soul
We hear, “I love you, I’ll never do it again”
But hatred and suffering is all we gain
Marriage and children never make it right
When the purpose is always to fight
For time heals all and it will be better
But as you lay on the floor, could you be any deader?
It starts with the pain deep inside
But without some help it cannot subside
We must work to stop Domestic Violence all as one
For our work together has just begun
The strength and support must be shared by all
Before another victim starts to fall
To hear a child ask, “Where is my Mother?
Brings a sadness like no other
I’ve heard those words from the child
With every though I feel more riled
I hear those words over and over again
But still cannot stop the pain
There are no words that can explain
The hurt that will always remain
For all those who Domestic Violence shares the touch
The need for understanding they will always clutch
As true love has nothing to do with pain and strife
Only happiness between two people all through their life
