About Me:: I started in Law Enforcement in 1976 as a patrolman for the Village of Cassville, Wisconsin. Great place to start, learned a lot, but after about 2 years the Village Board decided they needed to cut costs and laid off every Officer except the Chief of Police. I then worked for a year as a Nuclear Security Specialist at a Nuclear Power plant. I was offered a Law Enforcement position in the Air Force. I was selected for K-9 after My LE Training, that was equal at the time for Certification in the State of Texas as a police officer. I worked as a K-9 Handler/Trainer/Kennel Master in Patrol/Narcotics/Tracking/Bomb for over 15 years, also at the same time 11 years as a Military Customs Inspector/ inbound/outbound/cargo/aircraft/passports. My last assignment was as a Flight Sergeant in charge of a Law Enforcement shift. During the Draw down of the 1990's I accepted an early retirement and have fullfilled all Air Force conditions to upgrade me to a 20 year retirement. so I am a 20 year retiree. During the first 2 months of my terminal leave I was hired by the Oconto County Sheriff Department to staff their new Juvenile Detention Center. Have been with them now for 14 years. I also acted as an advisor to the Department when they started their first K-9 Unit. A member of the International Police Association, North American Police Work Dog Association, International Explosive Detection Dog Association, Wisconsin Sheriffs Deputy Sheriffs Assocation. Lifetime Member of D.A.V., Wisconsin Desert Horse Association, Arabian Horse Association, United States Equestrian Federation, AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.
