    I just heard this morning on the radio that Lt. Daniel Farkas dies on the 4th of July in Kabul Afghanistan under heavy small arms fire in his humvee. Lt Farkas was also a Member of the NYPD. I knew him as a boss, as a Sgt in transit div. district 32, he was one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to work for. He will be missed by all who knew him. He honorably served the people of NYC and has made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. I wish to give my condolences to his surviving relatives and ask that we all share a minute of silence to honor him and all that have made the ultimate sacrifice. We know that your life here will not be forgotten and will always remember you in our hearts. God bless you Daniel Farkas we will never forget you.
