    ok justin let me clear up some things for you here. i am currently an ARMY MP and got on here at the sheriffs office using that background. Marine MPs are no different than Army, you should know this due to both Army and Marine MPs train at Ft Leonard Wood. When i was at campbell i got just as much road time and experince like civilian LEA do. just because its military doesnt mean the same crimes dont happen. not trying to start anything, but you need to be able to support your theory as far as who does what, i have Marine MP buddies that, like i stated earlier, do the exact same job i do with the same training. Until you have experienced what i have and have the knowledge then i would not speak about things of which you do not know. as for the branch you want to join joyce, enlist to where you have the best opportunities. there is nothing wrong with Army MPs.

    Either one of those other POG MOS jobs will have the same chance of getting into an Agency as an Army MP aka Ple Watcher!! You really should and want to join either the Marines or the Air Force... but over any, the Marines. USMC Military Police have the most "Civilian LE" related positions out of all branches! You WILL actually do REAL Law Enforcement work once you get some experience and rank behind you. Seriously. take my word on it. Do not join the Army!!!!

    If you really want to get into Military Law Enforcement and have an eventual career in Civilian Law Enforcement, then you do NOT WANT to A: Join the Army and B: Take the 31B MOS!!! That is of course unless you want to sit at a Vehicle Post ALL DAY and have no advantage of getting into an Agency over a POG: Quartermaster Corps; ie: 57E: Laundry and Shower Specialist or a 73C: Finance - Specialist Finance Corps... To Be Continued...
