About Me:
I am a 24 year old female who just relocated to Miami, FL from Washington DC. It was a gusty move to come 1,000 miles, by myself in order to persue a career in forensics and policing. I currently have no family or friends within a 1,000 mile radius. I have been living here for about a month now (as of 7-23-2008). I am unique in the sense that i moved around a lot growing up. My dad worked as a contractor for Ford, and so when the contract expired, the family would relocate. Personally, I love this aspect in my life, because it has helped me grow into the person i want to be, as well as shaped my understanding of others and social sistuations. I am a go-getter, excelling in my studies at American University, where i graduated with honors. Currently, I am working for a great company (Developers Diversified Reality) as an administrative assistant. I took this job in order to (a) have a decent paycheck and obtain benfits (b) to showcase my organizational skills as related to paper work, etc. Really, this job has nothing to do with my true career goals in policing or forensics, however, i am truely happy to go to work everyday and experience such a different kind of job code :) Before this, i worked for seven years as a waitress at various locations. I always enjoyed the job, and i learned a lot about customer service, conversating, prioritizing, and money management over the years. However, anyone who worked in the service industry knows that the job has its many downsides. This weekend i am going to talk to the national guard about some of my options within the Army. I think this would help me in my career path, as well as build up my phsical and mental endurance. I love new sistuations and challenges, in part due to the moving. Martial Arts, Cycling, I am an avid reader...I enjoy phsical fitness: running, swimming, working out in general.
Favorite Music:
Latin especially because i have been studying the language for about 4 years now. Otherwise, i like everything with the exception of country...in which i only enjoy a few classic songs.
