- on the job 17 years i came from a long line of blue i like messing around with myspace when im bored i love writing i been divorced 6 months now i spend most of my time working For the Friends and Family of Officer Gary Skerski The ultimate sacrifice is sometimes asked of those in blue One short year ago today this man i never even knew Gave the most ultimate of sacrifice and now looks from above On his friends and family and those he loved Life goes on the story goes, yet what evidence proves it so To give us comfort to ease our pain and somehow let us know The life he gave was not in vain and from above he smiles today On those he left who now remember him in so many ways Celebrate his life to bring him joy and also serve to ease your pain For this very day i offer proof that clearly shows he did not die in vain God above works in mysterious ways as the record has often shown Just a few short weeks ago he touched the heart of a man he'd never known Gary you are neither gone nor forgotten as those gathered clearly see They knew you and loved you and still today is how it will be Because you reached from above to touch a strangers heart such as mine There can be no doubt the bond you share with those you love is truly divine Not to long ago someone from out of the blue left a poem in my box at work still to this day I have no clue who it was i just wanted to share it with everyone A WOMAN IN BLUE Days pass by without a thought or care My life pursued with zest and zeal To think of Blue I hardly dare My task at hand is all that's real Heaven forbid my lead foot scorned For better things thought I remain to do That day I cursed and moaned and mumbled the job performed by the woman in Blue Now home safe to the evening news The same is told each passing day No need have I to change my views Of Blue.. Who cares anyway My dinner made i sit to eat My thoughts stray not so far or near Happy now just off my feet My day complete I have no fear I lay me down soon to sleep My peaceful rest yet not to think or thank the lord for those who keep My children safe for forty winks Until the day i try and plea for now I need that man in Blue To hurry come and rescue me I thank her now .. the least i could do Some say im to young to be a grandmother lol they are right but I love it so far thats why my granddaughter isn't going to call me grandma she's gonna call me Memom lol if you would like to see my pictures here's my myspace link myspace.com/hotpursuitmomma
