About Me:
I worked for ten years with the Montgomery Police Department (Alabama). When I left there, I was the Accident Investigation/Traffic Homicide Sergeant. I have been working with DynCorp for the U.S. Department of State/International Narcotics and Law Enforcemet as a U.S. Police Advisor since January '06 in Herat, Afghanistan. As an Advisor/Trainer, my main duties included instructing the Afghan National Police in firearms (Pistol, AK-47, & PKM), Tactical Training (building searches, react to ambush, first aid, and tactical firearms), and Leadership training for the Afghan Instructor Staff. In February '08 I was promoted and moved to Konduz, Afghanistan as the Regional Training Coordinator where I oversee the Afghan National Police training program for the Northern Regions of Afghanistan. I recently signed a contract extension that takes me through June '09. I do miss my family tremendously. I have been married for 15 (almost 16) years to my college sweetheart, Amy, and we have two beautiful (sometimes trying) children: Tyler, my 13 year old son and Jayme, my 9 (going on 16) year old daughter. I couldn't do anything like this without their support and understanding or without Amy's willingness to hold down the homefront by herself.
