32 year veteran having started in October 1975. This makes me a member of "The Old Farts Club." I'm very active on realpolice.net and have written many articles for prospective law enforcement candidates. Currently a Deputy Sheriff in Virginia and a projected retirement date of December 2011 so the light is shining brightly at the end of the tunnel. 36 years is enough!     Guess I'm getting close then... I don't to groan yet getting into & out of my Blazer [I would if it were an Impala though]. The rookies don't recognize me in my hawaiian shirts and kahki's. but everything else fits to a T :-D
