| Description: | GLOCK’s compact .40, in the same "envelope" as the GLOCK 19, puts controllable big-bore power into an ideally sized package—substantial enough for police patrol, small enough for discreet and comfortable all-day concealed carry. A top choice of professionals for undercover work. |
Never leave home without it.
I absolutely agree. The Glock is the bomb.
Not a fan of the long trigger pull.
The Glock is a reliable on and off duty carry weapon. The gun is easy to use and easy to conceal. Malfunctions are rare and cleaning is easy. A solid gun all the way around.
The recoil is brutal. Not my first choice in sidearms.
This is my dept. issued duty firearm, I work in plainclothes and have found it to be versatile and reliable in all situations.
I enjoy this gun. I use it as my off duty firearm. Its easy to use and to clean, plus it will accept the magazines from my duty weapon (the Glock 22)
Not a bad weapon, shoots accuately out of the box, and even my wife can shoot it accuately (she had never fired a pistol). I use it as a peronal carry weapon, that and my 1911, dependant upon what I am wearing. The recoil is sharp, but the weapon comes straight back down into battery for the next shot. I would purchase another.
I have had my 23C for over 7 years. Nothing but a pleasure to shoot. Never had a single issue with it and it is extremely accurate. Smooth shooting gun.
The Army still uses the Beretta so that's what I carry while I'm on duty, but my husband and I both love to shoot so we own our own personal weapons too and this one is one I would love to have while I'm on duty. Glocks are amazing and I wish the Army would switch over.
Reliable, tough and light weight.
This is my issued weapon and took some getting used to however it's light weight and mag capacity are great!
Love my Glock! It has never misfired and it is low maintenance!
Just as the details states, uniform or plain clothes / 1000's of rounds shot / never had a malfunction
Nice compact weapon. Very light. It is my American Express Card. I never leave home without it, except where prohibited. I have owned it for a long time. For a .40 it is the ticket!
I love this gun. This is my first Glock and it fits well and shoots very nice. I would like to install a lighter trigger pull in the future. This is a great investment, especially for first timer buyers. Get one!
I have carried several other "on duty" weapons prior to experiencing the Glock. I have to say that to date, this is my "choice" on and off duty weapon. It's on point, reliable and easy to clean; can't say that about past duty weapons.... mainly - Beretta.
I love this firearm its my personal favorite!
This is my favorite personal carry weapon. Accurate and light... Need I say more...
lightweight, accurate, hard hitting, easy to use, high-capacity... what else can i say, I love Glocks. for the concealing person that wants big firepower...this is it. I've got meprolite night sights on mine right now.
and the best thing, when i have to draw down and put my finger on the trigger... i know the weapon will fire ( long as there is a round in the chamber )
great buy, great weapon, MIL-LEO price is anywhere from 380-430, dont let your local dealer lie to you!! Get yours today.
Great gun.... Small enough to conceal, but big enough to do some damage
I love my 23. Easy to conceal and heavy calibre. Light weight and easy to maintain.
I've owned my glock for over 10 years and fired several thousands of rounds without a malfunction. When I joined the State Sheriff's Dept. my glock become my off duty carry. The guy's from the range overhauled it and added the New York trigger. Trigger pull is a bit heavier but the gun still fires like new. My grouping at 25 is always center mass. I love this gun.
Im a big girl now..I upgraded my 9mm to a 40...yeah baby !!! Always Glock !! They have never failed me...I would never get rid of one..I just let um rest !!
I have owned this model weapon since October 06, fired over 1000 rounds through it and have not had one misfire, stovepipe, misfead, or jam. The way in which the grip has evolved since the early model Glocks makes it very comfortable and has improved my accuracy. I absolutely recomend this weapon to anyone considering purchasing a new handgun.
I have had a G-23 since 1998, in that time I have put over 10,000 rounds thru it, the only malfunctions were shooter induced, i.e. my fault. A nice off duty gun.
Primary duty weapon when on Bike Patrol. I also carry this off duty or switch to my 27. My main weapon is the Beretta 92FS but for off-duty it is to bulky usless I use it in the shoulder holster. So I use the 23 w/13+1 rounds or for smaller use the 27 w/9+1.
Good, clean fun.
I care this weapon for a duty weapon and love it i would not use anything but these
very nice easy to conceal acurate
This is my choice for an off duty weapon. Our agency issued weapon is the Glock 22 it is much lighter and has less recoil then the previous S & W 4006
This is my "ole trusty" it hasn't done me wrong yet. I believe this is the ideal sized weapon and works good for on or off duty!
I have fired about 1000 rounds through this gun, and consistently getting an extremely tight grouping in the 10 point spot without having to even move the sights out of the box. It's lightweight, easy to conceal, and you know it will always fire when you pull the trigger.
Always ready.
I have one as a personal weapon, in a .40, and it is good for concealed carry and shoots very well. Glock rocks!
I have one as my personal as well and love this weapon.
I never leave home with out it. I love the reliability of this gun. I have fired over 2000 rounds at the range with this gun and only had 1 misfire which was not a gun or user error it was an ammunition factory defect. Thanks for a great product.
Lightweight, accurate, durable. I love this gun!
very depandable sidearm, never had a problem with mine and it works great for concealed carry as well as its spot on my duty belt.
This gun reminds me of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. Its not to big, its not to small, its just right.
Essentially and "officers model" size, gun splits the difference between the fullsize Glock 22 and the baby Glock 27. Its moderate size makes it an excellent choice for concealed carry, plainclothes work, or even as a primary duty firearm for smaller frame officers. And unlock many compacts you do not suffer any loss of firepower. The Glock 23 carries 13+1 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition.
With all that going for it I almost forgot that you can pick these up for about $500. Glock law enforcement pricing for police officers is $400 brand new (w/out night sights).
Got one and love it. But carry 357sig round.
just like chris said...never leave home without it
Who needs bigger to be better.
its an excelent firearm.its my favorite
Probably the best handgun in Glock's line up until 2004. Tough finish, 13 rounds of 40 S&W and compact dimensions. I personally find the 23 points more naturally than the 22.
Can't think of a better duty weapon. More ammo is better such as the Glock 22, but this is a better size for my hand.
The GLOCK 23 is a great weapon. It is a compact version of the GLOCK 22 with the same 40.cal punch. I like the way it conceals off duty as compared to the Glock 22.
Glock=Greatness, 23-good all around firearm! Once you are trained with a glock, it just makes sense to have one or two or three.
This my 1st pistol, bought for Conceled carry. Excellent gun pretty easy to conceal on my person or in my vehicle (when I cant carry it in somewhere). Shoots great, cleans easy !! Overall great gun and available at a very good price.
Yet another Glock, and I continue to lend my support. I love Glocks. Best weapon to carry on the belt both on and off duty.
This gun is very accurate straight out of the box. I use this as a concealed carry off-duty. Small and comfortable, yet enough power to get the job done.
I carry this model on duty while working in investigation. I love the way it easy to conceal when have to and easier than my other duty weapon the sig sauer 226.
would carry this weapon to hell and back.
small and compact, and very accurate despite its smaller size. I use it often as back up or when I am off duty.
I like this gun cause better handled
This is the gun I carry I love it I wouldnt trade it for anything else!
I like the mid-size .40 not too small just right size....
I love this gun. Great for concealed carry and for duty.
This is my off duty weapon. Incredible 'out of the box' gun. Compact for concealed carry, accurate, and more than reliable. Easy take down and cleaning. The only thing that I would recommend is to remove the plastic guide rod and install an after market stainless steel guide rod which, in my oppinion, can improve accuracy and cycling.
Just went and looked at this gun, fits my hand just right...the Glock 27 just feels little, and the 22, um, way too big. Anyway, was just reviewing on here what others said, one said too long of a trigger pull...hmmm. The other said the recoil was brutal....I talked to the gun dealer who said that as long as I don't have limp wrists, the recoil isn't bad at all...but he could just be saying that to sell me this gun (621.00).....what say you?
What a great gun. This is my off-duty/concealed carry weapon and I absolutely love it. It's very compact and easy to conceal with almost any clothing. I highly recommend this gun for someone looking at a .40 cal off-duty weapon.
I like Glocks. This my off duty Choice to Carry.
Not too big, not too small. Works well in various assignments. Easily concealed for plain clothes operations. Tactical light easily attaches when performing tactical operations / high risk entries. Have carried a Glock for the last 11 years, and have yet to experience a single misfire. The 23 is a good mix of stopping power with higher capacity of ammunition. Would highly recommend as both an on and off duty weapon.
I see some comments about recoil on this gun. I think that Glock covered this with the 23C (compensated). As long as the shooter is expecting the flash during night time shoots, it is smooth. In high humidity sandy patrol areas, the compensated may require more frequent cleanings. This is the only reason this gets 4 instead of 5 stars from me.
Glock is a weapon with very few parts, which makes it VERY reliable. Best combat pistol out there. The glock is my friend.
This is my department issued duty firearm. I work in plainclothes and believe it is the best gun for my needs. I also use it for an off duty weapon. I’ve never had any problems with it and have put well over a thousand rounds through it.
I believe this is the best all around handgun I have fired. It packs a .40 cal. punch in a frame that is compact enough to be comfortable to wear any way you want.
I'VE HAD A GLOCK 23 SINCE I JOINED OUR DEPARTMENTS AUXILARY POLICE UNIT,IT IS THE FIRST GUN I HAVE EVER SHOT IN MY LIFE AND I HAVE FOUND IT EASY TO CARRY AND EASY TO FIRE. I HAVE HEARD NEGATIVE PEOPLE CALL THEM MATTEL GUNS BUT I THINK VERY HIGHLY OF MY GLOCK 23 AND I STILL CARRY ONE TO THIS DAY AND PROBABLY WILL THE REST OF MY LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER.
It just does not get any better this…
This is the best gun out there. It was the first gun I bought, and love it since. For on and off duty, and concealment, this is the BEST.
I love this gun. I also have this gun for my personal off duty weapon. Easy to conceal.
As with the model 19, the Glock model 23 is just as easy to carry in a concealed mode. I started carrying this model as a Detective and continued to carry it when I went back to working the streets. I like the way it fits in my hand and the way it performs on the range. When I started on this department we were carrying the S & W 5906's which were bulky and heavy. What a blessing it was to switch to the Glock weapons. I have never had any problems with either the model 19 or the 23.
my duty weapon. easy to use, easy to clean!
Its my exact gun!!! and it is true very easy to coneal.
Seems to be an effective weapon, Its nice that its small enough to be discreet.
I grew up with the 92F in my hand and never thought that I would like any other sidearm. At first I thought the 23 would be uncomfortable an dnot as accurate. I was wrong. This weapon is ideal for Detecties and other plain clothes officers. Smaller, but accurate and reliable. On duty of off. It will not let you down.
This is my CCW gun, but I switch between this and my Sig P220. I have only had two stove pipes but that was my fault while shooting. Other than that I have had no problems what so ever. I did change the connecting rod to make the trigger pull one pound lighter and a little easier to manage. I didn't like that 5.5 pound, and the 4.5 is all that much better.
Great gun for the price and value.
I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. ITS MY OFF DUTY AND HIDES REAL NICE
I really like my 23. My department issues the 22, but I went for the 23 so it would be easier to conceal. It does kick a bit more, but I am happy I went with this model. I would not recommend the 23C though, as it is not a good night vision weapon.
Good firearm. Very concealable for plainclothes/Detective assignments. Good capacity and best of all its a forty.
I have owned this gun since 2002, and it has never jammed and has been perfect!!
Man do I love this weapon. On duty, I carry the .45 ACP and love it. But, I've owned my Glock 23 longer then I have been in law enforcement, and I absolutely dig this gun. I've never had any problems with it, and it just feels good in my hand. I would recommend this firearm to anyone.!
Pretty good gun. I love Glocks. The only problem is that it is alittle small for my hands but it is also too big for very good concelment
Love it! Traded in my USP 40 earlier this year for it. More power in a smaller size. Can't go wrong with a Glock.
You can't go wrong with a Glock, very simple to operate, low maintance, very reliable weapon
I started out with a SW 357 revolver, went to a SW 9mm semi-auto but the Glock 23 has been the best yet. It's light weight, easy to maintain and very reliable.
glock 23 has been carried by me since i started detroit PD in 1997, It conceals nice. nice firepower 14 rounds in the small package. i have never had any compaints. I love this little gun.
i love my glock 23 i have put more the 7 thousand rounds through my G23 rain, snow, heat, and cold it just keeps banging and banging away
the glock 23 is second to none compacked enough to used as a secondary but big enough to be your primary. its a glock
This weapon is absolutely sweet. This is my next purchase. I love this gun
Always at my beckoned call!
I have had mine since 1998 never a problem changed the recoil spring by a glock armorer
have a set of night sites my new glock is the glock 36 i am buying this January 08
Love this gun. I have used this gun for 7 years now and have shot over 5,000 rounds through it. With all that shooting I have not had any problems.
I so love my Glock. I have small hands and the Glock fits me so that I have total control. Very accurate, easy to maintain and very dependable and has a light recoil. I carry it conceals and used to carry on duty. on of the finest wepons ever made in my opinon
i have to carry this at my part time dept, hate it to small, LONG LIVE SIG SAUER
I have a department issue Glock 23 and feel that it is very dependable for the size.
used for the frist time at shooting range very very nice! I am buying one in Feb.
WOW - talk about an extremely reliable gun. Even when I tried to jam this gun - it was a chore. I just got this gun for Christmas so I can practice to get ready for the future. I've already put 300 rounds through this thing and I just cleaned it today - impressive, and very reliable. Not to mention very easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble.
This gun is, as every Glock I have fired, excellent. I carried a model 17 on the job, and now carry a model 23 as my personal defense weapon. Accurate out of the box. Not hard to adapt to. Another kudo to the Glock Company legacy.
I have a model 23, .40 cal. and I love it. It's easy to carry, easy to break down to clean, and has hardly any kick. My son proved that anybody can pick it up and shoot accurately with. He had never touched any type of firearms in his life and shot a grouping the size of a silver dollar. It's an awesome handgun. I would highly reccomend it.
I own a one of these along with my Glock 22 and Glock 27, all being in the .40 caliber. In my personal opinion, there are no better police or self protection handgun out there than the Glocks!
I carry the Glock 23 as my duty weapon. It fits my hand very well, and I shoot it very well. It is not the best for CCW, but it can be done. I have put thousands of rounds through the weapon w/o any malfunctions that wasn't ammo related. I will keep this Glock forever, but I am thinking of switching to a Sig 220 for duty. Nothing wrong with the Glock, but I want a .45 and the Sig fits me better than the Glock 21.
I use this weapon for on duty carry when in plain clothes. I also attach a clip draw for concealed carry. I hardly notice it myself and nobody has ever let me know they can see it. Very accurate and has the same action as my Dept issue Glock 22. NEVER leave home without at least one....
THE DEPT,REQUIRES ME TO CARRY A BERETTA WHILE WORKING,BUT ONE I'M OFF-DUTY,YOU WILL SEE ME WITH MY GLOCK 23!!!
I can't say enough good things about this - both on and off duty, you can't go wrong
absolutely perfect off duty weapon
Great weapon of choice. great for concealment or for your everyday duty weapon!
This is a great weapon!! It's my backup and off duty weapon. I can shoot better with this then my USP H&K.
reliable, goes bang when you squeeze the trigger
