Shattering the myth that most violent acts are unpredictable, de Becker, whose clients include top Hollywood stars and government agencies, offers specific ways to protect yourself and those you love, including...how to act when approached by a stranger...when you should fear someone close to you...what to do if you are being stalked...how to uncover the source of anonymous threats or phone calls...the biggest mistake you can make with a threatening person...and more. Learn to spot the danger signals others miss. It might just save your life. |
An excellent book. Put this on your required reading, right behind Lt. Col Dave Grossmans book, On Combat.
Good general book to read. I had my wife read the chapter about strangers approaching and their motives. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a good training tool.
borrowed this book from a friend, and talked the department in to purchasing one for our library. excellent reading.,
Very good book book....... Must read
decent book, but not directly related to law enforcement. may persuade some LEO's to make fatal mistake of not seeing a potentally dangerous subject as being so. TAKE NOONE FOR GRANTED!!
I have used what I learned in this book several times in the field. Gavin is one of those people that immediately leave you thinking "This guy actually knows what he's talking about!" (poi - I couldn't care less what Oprah thinks)
We all have it and must learn how to use it.
