My department recently replaced our older Second Chance Level II vests, for the Xtreme HP Level IIIA vests. I find the vest much more comfortable then our previous vests, and have even noticed that alot of the older officer's are actually wearing their vests now. It is very well designed and offers a great level of protection.

Comfortable, light-weight, easy to clean, form fitting. This vest is great! What more can be said? “May we never need to see it in action.”

i find this vest very comfortable to wear. my only complaint is that even when you lay the vest flat it has a tendency to curl up on the edges. other than that it seems like a grest vest.

its good gear, just wish they would come up a vest that stops rifle rounds, and is not to cumbersome, you never know now a days

This is the third vest I've worn (Second Chance, Sufariland) and is by far the best. The internal Velcro holds the vest panels in place and keeps the panels from rolling up on the bottom. Wears and breaths well. Light weight and comfortable. I have Level IIIA with the added ballistic trauma plate.

I love this vest. My department replaced my old one and the company even came and measured us. My vest was made to fit me. Very comfortable and thin. You can hardly tell I'm wearing it. Our vests are level II's. Rated to stop a slug, but I don't want to test it. The carrier has scent guard which comes in handy April through October. My older vest carrier would smell like death after 2 days in the July heat. A lot of old timers didn't wear their vests due to discomfort, but since we got these new ones, they are happy to wear them.

The best thing about this product is the company came down and measured each one of us individually to get the best fit, they don't ride up when you sit down in the car and being a woman a mans vest just doesn't fit very well

This is our standard issue, and I don't know of anyone in our Department that doesn't like it. My only beaf is that the panels are a pain to remove and incert. The velcro hangs up on the inside of the carrier material so much I have to role the panels up first and then unrole them once they seem like they are in the right spot before securing them.

Best vest I've had yet. Lightweight, comfortable, easy to care for. Custom fitted and tailored to size. The bottom does roll on occasion but that is not an equipment problem, it's a belly problem. Gotta lay the blame where it rightfully deserves. Great vest and will order again when time for a new one.

I have the IIIA. It's failrly comfortable but a little thick. I should have gotten the Level II, especially for the Las Vegas heat. Overall I don't have any problems with it.

I have worn this vest for the last 4 years. It is comfortable, light weight, and the carrier is easliy interchangable for easy cleaning. This has also been the standard vest for our department for the last 6 years.

We have used these vest for the past 5 years.

Comfortable vest, light vest and a thin design.

BUT, it is only a Level IIIA.

I read reviews about firearms in the gear section and any weapon that is a 9mm is said to have no stopping power. Mostly everyone else suggest the 40mm or bigger.

Well, if that is what we suggest, what do think the bad guys are doing. This vest will not stop anything bigger than a 9mm. I have shoot the vest well over 30 times with a 9mm and it never went threw. Another vest shot once with a 40mm or bigger (5.55 upto 7.62) went clear threw both panels (Front and Back). If you are looking for something to protect you against a 9mm or smaller this is the vest to get. If you are looking for something to protect you from something larger than a 9mm, this one will not cut the mustard.
