The ultimate in combat handguns. It has been around for almost 100 years and still going strong. Puts your target down and keeps him there. If given the option, I would carry this on every deployment instead of the "POS" M9 9mm.

I would not go to work without it. Once you learn to shoot the 1911 you will feel the same way.

I currently carry a Colt Delta-Elite 10mm Stainless and love it. It shoots very well !!

Currently have Gov't, Commander, & Officer's. All three are outstanding. Would not part with either of them. Like the company logo says, "Quality makes it a Colt".

I have a model 1911-70 mark VII - I will say unequivocably that this is the finest sidearm I have ever used. I started it out as a plain-jane out of the box pistol and range-qualified with it the first day I shot it. Since then I have modified it to quite an extent and have used it both on-duty and in IPSA shoots. With this gun I matched the world record for fast-draw competition on several occasions.

This weapon is my best friend. I have relied on it with my life on more than one occasion and it has never let me down.
