The Stinger LED is hands down the best L.E.D. light on the market. It holds the coveted Streamlight name and same durability of ones in the past. The light is bright and it's functions it can perform are amazing and well received. I have sold many of these lights as well as carrying one on duty.

I have always used stinger lights. You can always carry it on your duty belt. On day watch, you don't always grab the big mag, and the stinger is there when you need it. This led is great.

I use the light all the time. It works well even during the day. The strobe feature gets thier attention quicker than a always on beam. I suggest also purchasing the traffic cone attachment that is very useful at night.

Awesome light! lightweight and extremely bright. The strobe function is a real attention getter when directing traffic. Wouldn't even consider working night shift without it. However, it doesn't have that same comforting heft as rolling out of the cruiser with my very scarred Mag-Lite (heh, heh, heh)

I find this to be an outstanding flashlight - bar none! I rarely carry anything else - not even my ultra-stinger. The light is awesome for illuminating vehicle interiors with shadows. It just lights up the entire interior with no harsh beams and no harsh shadows. Many times I can approach the passenger side of a vehicle in the dark, observe the occupants for a few moments and they never know I am there intil I am ready to let them know. It is TOO COOL!

Bright enough to keep you safe, light enough to stay out of your way, great non-slip rubber gasket around the bulb area to ensure secure grip. Strobe Mode is very distracting to suspects and helps to move large crowds. Charge lasts multiple shifts, even with regular use. Durable. Bianchi makes a short holster, but I have already ripped the seam in it, so I would get a full size holster. Great Light.

A fantastic belt light. Plenty bright I'll use it on hot calls or other such situations where a full size mag light would be too bulky. Solidly built. With over a 6 hour battery life I can go a couple tours without charging it. The strobe function combined with a light cone makes for increased visibility at night when you have to redirect traffic around an accident scene. You can select brightness level, push the button and release for continuous light, or have it only light up when your finger is on the switch...ideal for building searches.

I purchased this light to replace my old Stinger Flashlight. The LED light will stay full strength for about 6 hours. My old light would last about 1 hour all together. So far, it has survived several drops on the floor. The strobe light is really a great asset. So is the dimmer.

Stinger LED got it right with the best quality I have found for the price. The strobe function is quite disorienting, and I have used it several times to distract an aggressive subject. The quote afterwards is always "What did you do to my eyes?" If you can't see you can't fight, at least fight well anyways. The flashlight is large enough to be effectively used as a control device when needed, but small enough to fit well in an open holder on duty belt. Best $100 I ever spent.

This is very helpful while your out of the cruiser and you want motorists to see where you are. This light is a must for midnight officers. A+

This has been a great tool for some of our department members. I currently carry the older model, but ordered the LED to carry on night shift. I like the strobe feature and we have found it helpful when tracking suspects. Our K9 officer used it to show his location in an open area search at night which made it easy for assisting officers to set up perimeter. The strobe stands out and is almost impossible to miss. Welll worth the investment and with the LED the battery life is much better that the original model.

I have the DS model (dual switch). I love this light for the bright, white light the LED gives off. The strobe feature is nice to signal responding cover units. The only real complaint I have is that the rubber cover on the side switch pops halfway out on occasion making a real pain in the butt to put back where it needs to go... it will prematurely wear out I'm sure. The other small thing is that the rubber ring on the head that they put on to keep it from rolling off your hood etc. almost immediately gets lost (pops off). All 5 or so guys I know that have them lost them on day one. Make sure the tailcap is tight... I have one buddy whose cap fell off getting out of the car and the switch fell to the ground in 3 pieces... it took us a while to get it back together. Don't get me wrong though... I'm not going back to my old Stinger as a primary flashlight anytime soon. I get a solid work week of normal use between charges The upsizing from the standard Stinger is nice because it now fits comfortably in your armpit while writing cites etc....

I also own the DS. GREAT light to have and use as a primary light. I agree on the complaint that the rubber cover on the side switch pops out. I lost my rubber ring that goes on the head of the flashlight that keeps it from rolling the first day. Minor defects but an outstanding piece of equipment.

Lightweight, durable, easy to carry, and dependable. Our department uses this a mandated standard issue, and I have one for home use as well.

Great for those times when you know your not going to have to use a flashlight as a "weapon of neccesity"!

Great light, carries o'so well on the duty belt... Only problem is it does not make a good baton like the old Mag-Light.

I have the new version of this flashlight, the Streamlight Stinger DS LED with Fast Charge. The only difference being the DS (dual switch) has a second button on the bottom of the light as well as on the head.

It is the brightest flashlight I have ever seen, and if it's too bright for the situation, just simply hold the button and it will cycle through the brightness levels. Or, if you power the flashlight on/off twice quickly, it will go into strobe mode.

    Highly recommended!

I love this flash light, I own streamlight but it's not an led. I've had it since 2004 and it's still working off the same original battery. This product has paid for its self in the cost I would have spent on batteries.

I purchased this flashlight over a year ago. It is awesome. It allows you to see further than traditional lights. It also uses less battery life. I purposely carried this light around for approximately three months while working day and evening shift (7-3, 3-11) before it needed charging. My co-workers have asked me repeatedly where I got this flashlight. Several of them will purchase it.

This is the best light I have ever used!! I also have the yellow cone that slips over the end and it is perfect for traffic contron at night when used with the strob mode of the flashlight.
