We are testing a new ST1300P built for us by Blue Ridge Power Sports in Harrisonburg, Va. It sure is fun to ride and the violators don't know what hit them. We added custom saddle bag guards to keep it looking nice. I'll let you know more in July after we get some more time on the bike.

My department owns 6 of these bike, the police package, and we love them. We test drove the BMW's and didn't like the pick up or the maintaince issues. We have had our bikes for about 4 yrs and absolutely love them.We put custom "crash" bars and lots of lights. If you want a picture of my bike just let me know.

When I recertified in October, there was an officer there on a new ST1300P. It doesn't appear to be as comfortable for 8-10 hours as my Electra Glide but the damn thing is awesome in every other way! Runs, handles, and stops well. I think his bike's name might have been "Kit!" LOL

Can you tell me if the linked brakes are activated ie if you tap the rear brake will the front brake activate. We are getting some ST1300's for our fleet and I do not like the idea of linked brakes for slow course work.

As a (former) Uk civilian Motorcycle courier, now in the US, be careful with this one lads........quite a few Police forces in the UK have had to withdraw tis Bike ( and the Pan European, European versions ST1100) as it can get VERY unstable approaching 130........when loaded with extra Police gear!!!!

I had the opportunity to take this for a test drive about 6 months ago . . . .Let me tell you, I was impressed. It was a full-dress Police bike from Honda and they put all the little things on it that just make a Motor Cops day. . . . .

If you ever can, call Honda and see where the bike is and let your Department know that they will loan it to the Department for between 1-5 days at no charge, except for the gas. You will like this fun bike to ride as a duty bike.

I got the opportunity to test ride this bike a couple of months ago. I was a very good riding bike, smooth and responsive. The only downside to it is that it does not come with ANY public safety equipment. You have to add lights, siren, etc ... aftermarket. Our dept. prefers a turnkey approach when buying motors.

This is a nice bike. Went to a motorcycle show and took a gander. Very nice. Wish I was able to test it. But Honda does make quality vehicles and motorcycles.
