| Description: | Newest Smartphone/PDA from Palm. |
I got a great deal on this from Sprint.com. Normally this costs $400, but online it is only $99.99 from Sprint. If you have ever used a PDA from Palm before, then you will love this phone. Has all the toys, Bluetooth, email, webbrowser, but with Sprint you can get SprintTV. Great size, check out the website:http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en/Action/DisplayPhones?filterString=PDA_Smartphone_Phone_Char&id12=CHP_PhonesTab_Link_PCAandSmartphones
It Has all the toys ....because it is a toy. I Carry a Treo everyday ...Durable this phone is not. The 680 or the 750. Faster data access and some really nice apps for LEO's and EMS Crews
An awesome phone! $99 is a bit much.. I didn't have to pay that for it, but I highly recommend the Centro. It has everything you'd need and it's a decent price.
It also has a loud ringer too.
It has it's pros and cons. It is FRAGILE. It's great for personal use but I wouldn't recommend it for carrying on duty because it is so fragile.
This is a great phone. It has just about everything Sprint has to offer except Navigational GPS and the Sprint Music Store.
I switched to the treo about a month ago when i got rid of my nextel and i thought i might miss my two way but this phone more than made up for it i love this phone !!!!!!
I've had treos for a long time and they are very very fragile not good for fild work they will mess up in the rain will brake if you just drop it one time I just now got a new phone with Verizon. Got th new Casio gzTypeS it does not have near as many features but it is water, sand and drop proof. It's great for field work but suck's for fun!
I used to have a nextel and it was almost indestructible. I am skeptical about the durability of the Centro but I have not had any problems yet. The buttons are small and if you have big fingers then it can be hard to press the right button. Other than that it is a great phone. It is hard to beat the price for a phone with so many features.
I love this phone, as everyone has said, it isn't very durable of field work but it gets me where i need to go everyday. It has wonderful features that sprint offers. Getting use to the buttons was difficult at first, but this phone is great.
Great phone if you're working a desk job. For the true street cop I wouldn't recommend this phone. I own one, I like the features, but you have to be very careful with it. Get the insurance if you buy one. I've replaced mine once already and I have only owned it three weeks.
My agency supplies us with heavy duty hard plastic flip nextel phones. I have dropped that thing a million times, had it fallen out of my car, etc. and it looks fine and still works great and I recomment it. If you're looking for a phone to carry on duty that will last and survive the accidents, falls, drops, etc., the centrol wouldn't be the choice.
Have to give it 4 out of 5 because it's not on my happy list at this very moment. Of course it's not the phones fault that I can't figure out how to extract the videos I recorded, but someone has to be to blame! As they say, "it may not be your fault, but I'm going to blame you anyway"... ahahaha
I LOVE mine. The 25% Mil, State, Govt, Public Safety discounts on the plans are great too.
