As I work as a police officer in Switzerland, I had to order the gun in the US, because it is not usually available here. I ordered the gun without testing or handling, only relying on what I read in US-reviews. The Kahr PM9 did not disappoint me! After the 200 round break in period the gun works without malfunctions with every ammo I try. It's slight, light and easy to conceal (off duty carry). It's a perfect defense weapon (point and shoot), easy to handle and precise. I use different holsters (De Santis: Tuck This, Intimidator and Nemesis), the gun is virtually invisible and you nearly forget it is there. My recommendation for everybody looking for an off duty or backup gun. I know it is a bit expensive, but it is worth the money.

I carry this bad boy all over. I love the compactness and it is a really good shooter. I carry it over my Glock-27 any day.

I have the PM9 with night sights. I am still in the break-in period and the jury is still out. Accuracy is very good and becomes excellent with practice. I read on one forum that you need to polish the feed ramp to prevent mis-feeds. So far, out of 150 rounds, I've had two. A friend of mine is going to polish the feed ramp. He did his P45 and it never mis fed after that. Also, I am not finished with the 200 round break-in. My M&P's and my G27 never mis fed (break-in or not), but they are not as compact as the PM9. The concealment of this little piece is unbelievable. I haven't worn it outside of the home because of reliability during the break-in. Hopefully it won't be an issue after polishing the feed ramp and the 200 round break-in. I'll post another review those two items are complete.

Have had this for just over a year now, and I have the black diamond finish (no silver) and tritium night sights. Had to polish the feed ramp even after the break-in to resolve feed issues. Still a little picky on JHP rounds, but feeds well now with the right ammo.

I REALLY like the size. I carry appendix with just a cheap Uncle Mike's IWB clip holster, or in the front pocket with a cheap Uncle Mike's size 3 pocket holster, and it just disappears with an untucked t-shirt. I have other holsters, but it carries so well with these that I don't need the extra size of the bigger holster.

Some issues with spare magazines, and sometimes the one in the pistol. The top round likes to creep forward if you don't have a tight fit to hold it in place. If it's forward enough it would have to be pushed back in before you could successfully perform a reload. On the plus side, the full-size Kahr mags fit in this gun as well, so I carry 6+1 for maximum concealment with one or two 8-round spares (depending on how I'm dressed).

My other pistol is a Walther P99QA in .40. I really like the way it shoots, but concealing a full-size double-stack pistol is SOOO much harder than this Kahr! I rarely carry it now, but it lives by my bed at night.
