I've fired many automatic pistols, and I really like the Sig Mauser M2. Its a relatively unknown pistol, but has been touted as the "safest pistol in the world". This is the manufacturer's claim, not mine. It is DAO, and is hammerless. The safety lever located at the rear of the slide. Some people have mentioned that the safety may come off accidentally when holstered due to its location, but if carefully done, shouldn't be a problem. Without a substantial pull of the trigger, the pistol will not fire. Other reviews mentioned that the pistol needs to be lubed often, due to its rotating-barrel design. Its very easy to take down for cleaning, into three groups (receiver, slide, and barrel/spring). I've never carried this pistol concealed, but with its size, plus being able to carry ten rounds of .40 S&W in a mag, I think it wouldn't be a problem for most average-sized people. The grip is a bit wide, which small-handed people may find difficult, but I feel that the wide grip actually gives me a better handle on the weapon, and helps control recoil. I've fired hundreds of rounds through mine, and have never had a malfunction or stoppage. It is comfortable to shoot rapid-fire, double-taps, and triple-taps, and comes back on target quickly. The suggested retail price seems a bit high, and I only paid about $450 for mine. But that may vary with location, local taxes, etc. Overall, I'm happy with this pistol, and would definitely carry it concealed if I needed to.
never owned this particular model, but if it has Sig on it, it has to be good!
