I loved this backpack so much that I bought two of them! This is perfect for bringing gear to work or just banging around on weekends. My Dell 15" laptop conputer fits perfectly in the main compartment, with room to spare on the top outer pouch for the power supply and cordless mouse. The other compartment is big enough for magazines (the reading variety) and other smaller items including pens, note paper, envelopes, and other stuff. On the shoulder straps, I've mounted a folding knife on one side, and a Surefire G2 Nitrolon flashlight in a Cordura holster on the other side. You can also mount 100 oz. water reservoir if desired. The total capacity is 1,520 cubic inches, so I use the other one to pack weekend getaway gear. Bottom line, this is one great pack...two are even better! (www.maxpedition.com)
