Good handcuffs but can be more readily tampered with than the hinged type.

Only cuffs I have ever carried and they have failed me only once when a drunk just snapped the chain in two...now that was interesting !

I'm not a fan of the Model 100 cuffs. I don't like the double lock location on the keyhole side of the cuff. I prefer Peerless cuffs, but did like the old style (I believe they were S&W Model 90) cuffs. I had a pair of them but the double lock mechanism wore out and I had to retire them.

I've got several pairs of the S&W model 100 handcuffs and so far I have not had any problems with them.Overall I like using them.

I like these cuffs a lot. The only problem i had was when I cuffed a guy for another agency and they didnt search him and he pryed my cuffs apart witha screwdriver.

I have a few pair of these around.. They are cheap enough that I use them when I am not sure I will get them back, but as always they are top of the line smith....
