Description:

The Neostead is a slide-action tactical 12 gauge shotgun arranged in a bullpup configuration. Its design allows for a 22.5" barrel in a weapon that is only 27" long. The ammunition feeds from dual parallel magazines that run over the top of the weapon. Each magazine tube holds 6 rounds for a total of 12, which is unheard of in tactical shotguns. The weapon also has a unique loading device that allows the user to select one tube or the other for feeding, or to feed rounds from each tube intermittently. This allows for unprecedented tactical flexibility as the weapon can carry two different types of rounds in the weapon at one time.

    I feel that BATFE is shooting themselves in the foot on this one. This should be legal to import at least for LEO purposes. This weapon would allow an officer to carry lethal AND non-lethal rounds at the same time. Also, since the slide works front-to-back (in reverse of most shotguns), it greatly reduces the possibility of short-racking the weapon and causing a malfunction. The weapon's size also makes it viable for officers, as its decreased size makes it more agile in the officer's hands, and takes up less space in the trunk. It also has applications for special teams use. I think we should write our congressmen (unless you live in an ultra-liberal anti-gun state) and argue this weapon's case for our armories. This would be an excellent addition to any officer's arsenal.

    Good viability for getting to choose different rounds. Lethal & Non-Lethal in the same shotgun? I don't think I would be doing that. In a stressful situation, you're just setting yourself up for a major lawsuit, loss of job- maybe even jail time. "Well, your honor, I was just going to hit 'em with a beanbag, but they got a chest full of buckshot because I chose the wrong tube...."

    The pump action makes the dual tubed amgazines load like a dream, as well as make the ejection of the spent shell faster than the normal pump action. Easy to us sights with mounting ability for a scope makes this weapon dual purpose for work and hunting.

    If your going to go with this weapon, and I love mine; I recommend #4 shot for your shells....it provides a better spread if pellets to target.
