I carry this firearm on duty as well as personal carry. The recoil is low as well as the actual weight of the loaded firearm. I carried a Hi-Point 9mm Compact for my first firearm and it was so much heavier than the XD and it wasn't as dependable. It was a cheap gun, but nowhere compared to the XD. One of my favorite features is the dual dove-tailed sights. This is an amazing gun and I trust it to do exactly what it is supposed to do.

I use this weapon as my back up weapon and personal protection as well. I can shoot better with this weapon than my duty weapon. I like it better hands down...

I love this firearm, it's my primary conceal carry gun, I gave it four stars because I was having feed issues, but Springfield took it back free of charge and fixed the problem and since then I've fired well over 1,000 rounds through it with 1 stove pipe but only because I was limp wristing it due to shooting all day. Great gun, dependable, went through the same stress tests as Glocks and works just the same. Good job Springfield Armory!
