excellent gun. added a sling and a pistol grip to mine, with an 18" barrel and mag extension. the pistol grip helps very much for quick target focus after shot.

I was given one for my 12th b-day or was it Christmas? It's an '870 EXPRESS' with a wooden stock fore-end and a long hunting barrel with a sight rib and a bead on the end. I've heard nothing but good things of it. I've seen nothing but good things from it. I've killed much-a-game animal with it. It's relentless on Pheasant. I've heard stories of men 'soiling' their pants upon hearing the charging of the weapon's action (rack-a-round). Upgradeable, versatile, reliable, durable.........all-able. Best pump shotgun available. The 870 is to shotguns, what the .98 Mauser is to rifles. Strong, reliable, and oh yes, very upgradeable.

these are ok, but are no match with the wingmaster, especially the magnum but all in all, a good pump for the price.

I personalized mine with a surefeed pistol grip stock and an aimpoint red dot scope. LOVE IT!!

our department issues the 870 as our standard "STREET HOWITZER" and having used shotguns in the ARMY (MOSSBURG 590) i know first had of thier effectiveness... mine currently has only the basic 4 shot tube and the foreend prevents me putting on a side saddle but reliability and simplisity are EXCELLENT!!!

I have been issued this weapon with my department. We have added pistol grips to many but I kept the old school look. I love this weapon on Mids because when you rack it you mean bidness to the standard POS on the street. We carry 6 buckshot in the extender and 4 slug in the stock. Just point this "Cannon" and let it rip baby!!!!

Tried and proven. Added the extended mag, flashlight mount, rifle sights, it's an excellant weapon and trusted piece of equipment.

Excellent weapon. This is a item I'm proud to take with me on patrol. As far as universal communicators go, this one has my vote. Accurate with a slug, easy to use even for the novice, and easy to "personalize" for day to day use.
