Read the book and took the course at FLETC, excellent. It should be required for all LEO's.

This is an excellent book. I highly recommend it for EVERYONE!

Our Department mandates the use of Verbal Judo Tactics, and this is a required reading.

Great book with very helpful insights.

I have read this book and have taken the class (madated). Personally, I feel any person with effective communication skills can navigate through literally any situation. I know this book gives helpful and constructive advice, but following a step program, or having to revert to another step program does not make you an effective communicator. I have taken great pride in my ability to "talk" someone into custody, establish and maintain command of a situation from a vehicle stop to a person wanting to take their own life without folllowing any format. I do not look at verbal judo as a gimmick, I know it works for many people. But after 27 years, I stick with what works best for me.

Excellent Book A must ofr Officers. Class should be taught in Basic Academy.

When I 1st started in corrections a SGT suggested this book. I'm glad he did, I've learned alot from it !!

Good Book, very informative and entertaining!

Whoooshaaa!! Good book

I was a bit apprehensive when someone gave me this book. But as you read the points being made had so much validity to them, that you continued reading, not putting the book down. Then you watched for some of his video's and working in conjunction with both, you began to grasp the art of verbal judo. It most likely won't work in all situations, but does cut down on cleaning of the uniform. Recommended.

Will effectively reduce complaints, especially with a problem officer that is willing to apply the techniques.

Good Book. A must read for all law enforcement new or veteran.
