Great little weapon. Very low cost and very accurate out to 50 plus yards. Makes a good little entry weapon or something extra to throw in your patrol car. This weapon comes with a life time NO questions asked warranty.
Hi-point weapons are junk. I have seen WAY too many failures. This is not something I would be my life on, or even a competition.
Absolute trash. I would rather have a case of the clap, than a case of brand new Hi Point's of any variation or configuration!
I cannot believe this weapon is even on this list. This is the cheapest piece of junk that i am sorry to say was made in the USA. if I could give it less than one star I would. My neighbor brought one and the thing misfires every third or forth round. A total waste of good money. Like grandad used to say, "If the cost is cheap, then usually the product is cheap".
Only those who actually own this firearm should post reviews. Too much second hand bad info can come from those who want to be seen as the elite. I just picked this firearm up at the local Cincinnati gun show and ran 300 rounds thru it with no failures and shoots point of aim at about 50 yards spot on. As a NRA certified instructor and reserve MP I have a large and long history with firearm and training. This .40S+W carbine is a fine and handy weapon right out of the box. Even my BUSHMASTERs ( of which I have 3) had some problem during the intial break in. The HiPoint has not. Do your self a favor, find out for your self, at a little over $220 with 3 mags, what can you loose. You will get a better look at things when your nose is not in the air ( and a better sight picture)
i bought the 9mm version of this weapon for my dad to have around his house for protection, its a good weapon to have, and cheap as hell too. i think it is definately a decent enough weapon to have around
Again a pristine rifle for both target shooting as well as home protection. The accuracy of this rifle is amazing. However it does have fall backs such as effective distance. However I feel that the size and build far surpasses the current M4 and M16A2 for use in close quarters situations.
Great weapon. This little rifle survived my house fire, where it was in the same room as a melted tv, stereo system and everything else! With hardley any maintance I cleaned it up, had it inspected and it still shot like the day I bought it! I have put hundreds if not thousands of rounds threw it. Never jammed once! For all of you who stick your nose up at it, sorry for your luck. For all of you who says it jams every other round, try cleaning it. Acurate up to 50yds, excellent entry gun, ecspecially with red dot sights or laser.
A great carbine for a great price.
I would hate to depend on this to save my life.
This gun is a piece of junk. My friend bought one a week ago, and it wont feed right, it jams constantly, and most of the time the it wont even shoot. And I only gave it one star because I had to.
I have a Hipoint 9mm carbine. I was very surprised at how accurate it is. It has never misfired or jammed. I put a Red Dot scope on it and it shoots a 1 inch circle at 50 yards.I have found out that most of the bad reviews have come from people that have never shot a HiPoint.
I remember when these POP (piece of plastic) came out (9mm version). Everyone in our academy went out and bought one...'cept me. A few years later I was looking for a plinking rifle and bought one. I was impressed of the quality for the money. I have had it 9 years and put lots and lots of rounds through it and it has never jammed or misfired once. That's right not once. I carry one in the back of my patrol unit as a JIC weapon (just in case). Hopefully, I'll never have to use it and as soon as the department can afford to get some decent rifles, I'll continue to keep it with me.
