I have used this holster several times during my PSD missions here in Colorado and I fell in love with it then I had to purchase this for my own personal weapons. Check them out!!
holds up well to everyday use.
I use this holster for off duty carry as it has the same mechanics as my Serpa 3 duty holster without the hood.
Great off duty holster, easy access to weapon but still provides safety retention
Great holster for off duty, and I also use this for secondary duty use. I would reccomend this for everyone!
Very comfortable. Affords quick access to my weapon while still providing good weapon retention. Very durable, holds up well to daily concealed carry.
I have always been a little worrysome about carry a holster with any signifigant retention. I spent a very long time going through a lot of paddle holsters for off duty use, as I carry where ever I go. I purchased the this holster and could not be happier. I use the paddle with this and like it because it comes with features which allows the holster to remain secure and not move at all. The finger release on the side is very reliable and haven't found any problems of when I draw the finger going "into" the trigger port. It actually positions the trigger finger almost exactly where it needs to be following the "Finger off the trigger rule."
I have had people test the ability to remove the weapon from the holster or even get the entire paddle off my belt, and have not seen anything that concerns me. I actually have difficultly simply removing the paddle from my belt at times because it is so secure to my belt. There is also no problems of the weapon accidently coming out of the holster when running which is due to the SERPA feature. Lastly, it does not stick out as far when carrying concealed off duty, which is always a plus.
Love this Holster
I have purchased too many holsters in my time that have fallen entirely short when it comes to form and function. After purchasing this holster for my FN five-seven and carrying it for over a year in this rig, I purchased one for every other pistol I own....which means I have a lot of them! I LOVE this holster and so will you.
Best CID/off-duty holster to have. Love it and am about ready for another as I have torn mine up pretty good. I would not recommend getting the one with the carbon fiber look. That one only has some plastic like material attached to it which tears really bad.
I have the thigh set up with mag attachment and cant say enough about it. The draw is easy and right there. Stays with you on the run, and attaches right to my regular patrol gear. If your going hands on the gun drops in with out effort.
I own several Handguns & have CQC holsters for ALL of them. Holster comes w/ Paddle and Belt Rig, easy to interchange and Concealable even when I wear a Sports Jersey.
Absolutely love this holster use it for off duty carrying.
Unless you get on the range and really spend a concerted amount of time drawing your weapon, you may miss the draw when necessary. I had one. I invested in a tactical pistol course for the heck of it using this holster. It took quite a number of draws for it to become just one step closer to muscle memory. You gotta practice a lot with this one.
I have this holster in the level III. being a K9 handler, I worried about the level II especially tracking in a thick wooded environment. The level III has been flawless, great retention. quick draw. When and if I replace this holster it will be with another SERPA Level III
I just bought this holster. I love the locking feature.
I’ve utilize it both for on duty and off duty, its a great holster for smooth draw and great retention. I got the duty holster first and loved it so much I got the concealment for off-duty and when I work a plain cloths bodyguard detail. I had the fobus concealment holster and was dissatisfied with it performance and was unable to smoothly draw from it.
Good holsters, except we are finding out the hard way here in Iraq that if dirt gets in the release button you are screwed it is almost impossible to get your pistol out! But they hold up very well !
by the way its the thig holster that we are having problems with. Other than that i have 2 of these same holsters at home and they are awsome.
Have used on it on duty working security and when ever I go out off duty. I love it
Great holster, use it to carry when not on a mission. IT is essential to keep it clean, as it will make it difficult to draw when needed most. Conceals well under the duty unifrom (if your not a fat body).
this product is dependable , light weight , sleek in the design and most of all very durable
Excellent Holster! Holds the firearm pretty secure. The only downfall is that it is somewhat bulky, so conceled carry is difficult. But I guess thats why they make IWB holseters.
I love the fact that this holster comes with a belt slide and paddle attachment. It give you a carry option. It's easy to get the weapon out of the holster and into the fight.
Great holster! I use this in Iraq and it is a good holster that makes it easy to get out when needed, but secures it. The push button allows for another layer of protection to secure the weapon when running, unlike other "snap in" holsters.
this is awsome protects well easy to get weapon out when ready and light weight.
This is the best off-duty holster I have ever used. I can't imagine wearing anything else.
Great holster for officers in an administrative position or for training bureau officers that wear their firearm exposed. I have worn my Glock in this holster while off-duty, but the weapon tends to stick out a bit more than I would like for off-duty carry. Pancake-type concealment holsters or in-the-pants hosters work better for concealment. I like the retention system, and it is very confortable for all day carry.
I have the olive drab verison of this holster for a Glock 23 (it also fits my Glock .45 Slimline Single Stack) and I have found it you be the most practical and comfortable kydex holster that I have ever owned.
This is a GREAT holster. With either the belt slide or the paddle attached it is very secure and once you get a little practiced on the draw they are very fast and reliable. I'm hard on equipment and don't usually rate very high but these holsters are great for off duty or plain clothes asignments.
Solid and secure holster with a lock that falls naturally at your index finger
Great holster, I used the same version on a drop leg holster while Iraq. Natural draw and ease of use.
This is the holster I use off-duty for concealed, carries very close to the hip and almost impossible to detect. Plus the added retention button adds an extra little bit of security.
By far the best holster I have found for plainclothes work. Fast, secure and lightweight. I carry this model back home and use this model and the thigh rig version here in the Afghanistan desert. The dust doesn't faze it and it wears very well.
As an investigator, my department issues a different holster than this one. The issued holster is far more complicated to draw from. I actually purchased this holster on my own, which proved to be the best law enforcement investment I've made in a long time. It allows you to smoothly draw your weapon, is VERY light, and durable. It also can be worn with a dress suit for investigators.
it took some time to adjust to it, but after a little practice it is a smooth draw without the worry of losing you gun. i even use for IPSC matches now just so i don't get complacent and there isn't much difference in my times.
We tried this holster out in the level III for duty use and got one from the Blackhawk sales representative. We put a Sig p229 DAK in the holster and could not get it out. It was the correct model and make for that gun. We had to take the holster apart to get the gun out. Blackhawk replaced the test holster for evaluation. The representative said some guy at the factory screwed it up in the process of making it. Needless to say the first impression had an impact on our department's choice of duty holster. That being said I do have 3 of this model I use with my P220, P229R and 1911 Reveloution. They work fine, however I did check them over really well before putting them into service, practice religiously and put time in on the range with them.
I carry this holster for both my duty and off duty weapons. Simple and secure. The belt loop version is much more stable than the paddle.
I carry this on duty and in detectives. I wish they had a smaller one for my Defender.
Used for off-duty carry, I find it very comfortable.
This holster is awesome! I wear it on a daily basis as a off duty concealment holster. The locking device rocks. It's super smooth to draw your weapon, retenion is awesome. The paddle stays put without trying to remove itself from your belt line. It is the best concealment holster I have ever bought. I highly recommend this product.
This is an excellent holster with a smooth draw and instant security upon holstering.
great fit for concealment
Own this, great to use for training classes. Like it so much, carry it off duty as well. Using it with a Glock 17 and Glock 19, works great.
This is one of the best off duty holsters that I have ever used in my 34 years, I have been using mine with a springfield xd 9mm
Pretty good holster, great for the cost. Would be nice to be able to set the cant (tilt).
I use this product for both on and off duty. It works great.
Great Holster its is easy to use holds your weapon very nicely no complaints
Great off duty holster, easy access to weapon but still provides safety retention
This holster holds up very well. I like it mostly b/c I have a sig and it greatly reduces visability when you carry with it concealed on your persons
I got one today because i am getting into IDPA, i used it with a friends Glock26. I think its great. Its not the easyest holster for me to conceal, Mostly because im a big guy. But i love it.
Love the auto-tension, and I didn't find it hard to conceal at all.
Very good product for the price!
