| Description: | The Hummer H1 is basically a HMMWV built for civilian use; it has no armor or weapons fittings. However, the drive-train, frame, body, suspension, etc., are exactly the same. The H1 differs from the HMMWV in having a civilian interior, including trim, comfortable seats, stereo, and air conditioning as standard options. As a result of its commercial use, features introduced in the civilian Hummer have been incorporated into improved military versions. The H1's electrical system is 12 volts, with the two batteries wired in parallel. The HMMWV runs on a 24V system, where the two batteries are run in series to generate 24 volts. |
Cool product, crappy website. Hate flash.
Too much of a flashy ride. Give me a F150 anytime.
Not enough bang for the buck. Yes, it can run over a tree. Yes, it can go through a muddy wash. No, it doesn't have the capability to chase, make tight turns, or hold multiple subjects. Give me 3 Chevy Silverados for the price of one of these.
With gas prices the way they are I could see my Sheriff telling me to park that thing and quick.
cool truck
Nice vehicle. Not really police type equipement though, or not in our dept.
Ohhhh! I LOVE Hummers!
I LOVE the H-1. But why would you submit a review on such a great vehicle, showing the picture of an emasculated version: the "H-3"? Yes, Hummer had to make the H-2 and H-3 for those who drink with their pinky extended and harshly resemble a "Yuppie" . For those of us with too much testosterone, there is NO substitute for the H-1 !!!!!
Wf
Hummer is nice but for patrol Vehicles i dont no about that . Is good for Civilian use .
crapy product but if you must drive one just don't hit anything they tend to fall apart easy.
i agree that the original h1 is still indeed the most efficiant patrol vehicle for the armed forces but i just dont know about having it patrol our streets
It's an alright Hummer. I test drove one before I bought my new truck. When testing driving it, I ran into a few blind spots. Other than that, it was nice.
This is nothing like a HUMMWV but its cool civilians can compare this to the same vehicle that has managed to save some lives in Iraq. Try driving a HUMMER H1 in Iraq! If I was dumb enough to roll around in this over there I wouldn't expect to be going home. LOL The HUMMER differs from a HUMMWV in many aspects. a HUMMWV is no where near comfortable. Half the time my HUMMWV doors didn't want to shut properly... and just imagine... U don't need a flak or kevlar for a HUMMER. So how exactly do they compare? I've been in both and not one seems like the other. LOL
Lots of room. It makes a great scout vehicle on escort deployments.
I LOVE HUMMERS!!!!
Great and versitlie. Lousy fuel efficiency. The Lone Tree Police Department in Colorado only has these things.
Civilian Version Is Over-Rated!
