Mobile Pentium 4 Technology Coban TopCam II is equipped with the most advanced mobile CPU – Mobile Pentium 4, which provides high computing power while demanding much less power from the vehicle battery. Long Recording Time Coban TopCam II uses robust removable hard disk to store videos before they are uploaded to the server. The hard disk sustains very high vibration. The 40 GB model can hold up to 100 hours of Mpeg-4 videos; the 60 GB model can hold up to 200 hours of Mpeg-4 videos. Coban TopCam II supports Mpeg 1, 2 and 4 formats, and different bit rates for Mpeg-4. Wireless Ready TopCam II units can have 802.11 g network card as an option. It can be used for general communication, video streaming, and wireless video upload. Superb Wireless Microphone The wireless microphone used by Coban’s in-car units has the longest operation range in the industry: over 1000 feet in normal operation; up to 3000 feet with line of sight. With its unique noise suppression design, the audio quality is superb. The microphone has a programmable button on it, system administrator can define the function for the button using the back-end management software, for example, it can be used to mute the microphone, to remotely stops recording, or to send a bookmark to the recorder. Once the function is changed, it will be automatically pushed to the in-car microphone next time an officer starts a new shift.
