We had one of these as a surveillance vehicle. Fully loaded with equipment, it would shift down into 3rd gear at any speed over 60 and was a joke going up any kind of a hill. Zero to sixty times were measured with an hour glass.
The suits got in a hurry to buy it under the state contract so we got the only one available...It was painted a brilliant (grabber) blue and stood out like a sore thumb. We called it "The Stealth Van".
The turning radius was so bad that you could barely make a U turn on a 4 lane street, and one day, the sliding door refused to close during a moving surveillance...Thank gawd for duct tape.
