These pens are great for citations! I don't know about your citations but the ones I have to write on are terrible for ball points... the paper is too slippery. Gel pens write on anything and these are durable and smaller than most making it easier to put in your pocket.

This is the only pen I use. It always writes well and it's comfortable to use. I have found packages of 10 for around five dollars at bulk stores like Costco and Sam's Club (Missouri stores). The refills are also available through the company web site. Those are the two best bargains I have found.
