For the price has proven to be a reliable and dependable carbine for everyday Law Enforcement and Tactical Operations. Add an Holographic Sight and external light source for accuracy and night ops.
I agree! This weapon is fantastic and served its purpose well over in Iraq. It is also extremely lightweight compared to the M16.
Every time I fire this weapon, it is pure excitement. It will clearly get the job done!
Reliable, accurate, and damn good for the money. Great rifle.
I just bought mine, and I love the thing its a great weapon and affordable as well. Extremely accurate!
I used to have one of these wonderful rifles (AR15 A3 M4), and I miss it tremendously. The only problem I ever had was that the receiver pivot pin seemed to fit loose and slide around on occasion.
Great lightweight weapon. I have used it here on the streets and also in the deserts of the Middle East, no big problems.
I love this weapon, its lightweight, easy to use, extremely accurate and its easy for a woman to use as well. NOT too mention the thrill of shooting it. My husband and I use this one for target practice well more me than him those poor bunnies... But over all we never have had a problem with it.
This is another tool that every patrol Officer needs to have in his "tool box". With it's light weight, and versatility, it can be used for building searches, or just handeling a perimeter possession. It is the ace in the hole when the chips are down. The gun system is user friendly and easy to handel, while remaining accurate in the harshest environments with minimal malfunctions (most due to the ammunition being used).
Great rifle. I carry it everyday on the road and and all the confidence in the world with it. It also nice to have the flashlight attachment and 3 point sling with it. I have used the flashlight attachment before since I always work midnights.
Good weopon. It fires like a champ!!
I do like this product and its applications were tramendous in Iraq, But in the hostile environments in Afghanistan, remedial actions were taken more than they should have. Im sure that this weapon is wonderful in any state in the US, Does anyone have anything to say about the 6.8.
This is the closest we have to the M-4 we use in the Air Force. Ours has a rail system on it for attachments, mine has a pistol grip and all in the Air Force have an optic that allows for laser aiming. I love this weapon, lighter easier to shoot than the M-16, never shot expert on the M-16, first time on the M-4 shot expert and have ever since.
my department issued this carbine and ours (HBAR) are nail driving accurate coupled with the AIMPOINT Comp-m red dot sights we got from DRMO they are outstanding patrol rifles
Excellent weapon, used in all of our patrol cars, easy to operate. We use Eo-tech scopes on ours, but I would have chosen another optic. Fired the gun several times and in all kinds of weather, never a problem. This includes the harsh Buffalo winters
My first and everlasting experience with the M-4 was when it was issued to me at the Al-Sadeer Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq.
Give me any handgun, knife or blunt-type instrument and away we'll go. The phrase 'bringing a knife to a gun fight' ,being in Iraq, comes to mind after I wrote and reread that last sentence.
We then went to the 'firing range' which looked like any abandoned concrete lot in this war-torn savaged country. Heck, we could have just driven through Sadr City [as moving targets] and would have gained a great measurability of experience. My brothers whom have been there will agree.
The M-4 works, it really works, in heat, sand, [and sand storms] rain and yes even in the snow country up northeast in the Kurdish Region.
I'm, with pride and workable knowledge, will add the M-4 to my list.
Local police department here bought these for Tactical Unit, and apparently had all kinds of issues during full-automatic operation. Reportedly the product support was good, but I guess the issues darkened a cloud over these rifles because word has it they are buying Rock River for general patrol issue. I still think Bushmaster is a fine product and would be near the top of my list (especially since I won't be buying one in full auto)
Another beautiful rifle. Love Bushmaster and would love to have one of these again.
I love this weapon and I like being able to hit what I aim at with it each and every time.
Nice shooter. This is a gun to own.
Great Price....Great Shot...Added all my toys to it...Love it
VERY FUN AND VERY ACCURATE
Good product, shoots well, great pratrol rifle.
NEXT GIFT TO MY SELF,.IT,S A GOOD RIFEL FOR IT,S SIZE!
Well constructed machine. Lightweight and easy to use.
I CARRY A COLT EVERYDAY BUT AT HOME ITS A BUSHMASTER. JUST AS GOOD FOR A LOT LESS CASH. THEY ALSO OFFER MANY RIFLES NOW IN 308 OR 7.62X51 FOR YOU MILITARY TYPES. PERSONALLY, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MILITARY GO BACK TO THE 7.62 ROUND AND LEAVE THE 223/5.56 TO THE GROUNDHOG HUNTERS. THE KINDER / GENTLER NATO 9MM /5.56MM BS CONTINUES TO GET PEOPLE KILLED ALL THE TIME. OUR PEOPLE! AAAH! DONT GET ME STARTED!!!
this is a great weapon all the same feachers as a colt for a better price . i carried a colt for 13 months in iraq and at first was skeptic of a knock off but i wouldnt trade my bushmastere for a colt
Solid weapon. Very reliable. Put hundreds of rounds down range and it has never failed me. Have about $1500 into mine and I can do anything from CQB to long range.
all i can say is... wonderfull. great piece of gear.
Awesome rifle, very accurate, I would recommend this rifle to anyone.
Mine's just as nice and shoots as well if not better with my dot sight than my CAR-15 issued in '68...just as solid, well balanced and fitted with a light on the front for hands free usage, first class...when asked why I carry my Glock 26, I usually tell them it's to give me enough time to get to my trunk...that's when the fun starts!!!
perfect shooting and room for many upgrades with performance and or scopes, pictanny rails, etc. small and compact for CQB.
Great rifle for CQB. I pull my rifle on all hot or gun calls. Great Product
i purchased this weapon about a month ago ....and i LOVE IT! nothing else to say about it great performing rifle easy to operate and with some nice hornady TAP ammo locked and loaded id glady be the first through the door in a hot situation and the gun is a joy to shoot!!!
We (KSP) almost had this as our patrol rifle. I would have loved to have had it in my car and hope that we can still work it into our budget.
This is the best out of all patrol rifles!!!!!!!
Best Long gun I have used. Very reliable
An excellent patrol rifle for an affordable price. It is very accurate and reliable.
This weapon strikes a good balance between cost and function. It is easy to operate and extremely reliable.
Excellent patrol rifle...will be purchasing my own soon as tehy approve us to carry un our patrol cars
I have had no issues with this one, light weight and very versatile/accurate proven design.
Purchased this weapon in Ketchikan, Alaska brand new for about 750.00 - Awesome price and I have not had but one issue with it and BushMaster took care of it immediately without fail. Used this as my patrol rifle as a Reserve Deputy and was a great force multiplier.
The M4 Series is the only way to go, they are the most versatile weapons around.
A great rifle all around
Grate weapon nice easy to use and very grate all around weapon
Great for CQB and MOUT. I still miss my M16A2.. The distance is much less.
However the handling and travel of the m-4/ .223 is awesome esp for Law Enforcement.
Great rifle shoots great
Great multi purpose patrol rifle. This rifle is easy to accessorize and shoots great. I carry mine everyday and know that if I need firepower, Its there and reliable.
I have many doubters around me here about Bushmaster. I have had two and after several thousand rounds I have to saw I am perfectly satisfied.
i trained at blackwater last october *going back this oct... schwing!!* to become a certified bushmaster carbine operator. i've owned 2. fantastic weapon. accurate lethal fire from afar. nice and compact for cqb or in-vehicle use. a wonderful piece of equipment.
nice weapon. quality and reliable. I'm looking to get the 450 this summer.
Simple to use and clean.
Liked the Colt version that I carried at work so much that I went out and bought this one for a personal weapon. So versatile with all of the optional toys that you can put on to it. I would highly suggest skipping the low cost red dots, and go straight to the eotech. Although they run $400, you won't waste the $300 in finding out you don't like any other ones.
Great Weapon!
I HAVE NOT SHOT THE WEAPON BUT, I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS A VERY ACCURATE ONE.
I have had my A3 M4 rifle for 3 years and have put over 800 rounds through it with no problem. Its very easy to clean and maintain. The only thing I wished I would have done different is got a flash hider instead of the compresser on the end of the barrel. If you have to fire it without ear plugs you cant hear out of your left ear and you get a severe headache due to the precussion.
Great little mouse gun!
I carry this rifle in my patrol car with some minor upgrades. But as far as a platform to start from this is it. Great weapon
This is an all around good weapon. Believe it or not, this weapon is great for hunting too. It may be a new trend to hunt with an assault rifle, but it works well.
This is a great carbine that is well worth the money. Never had a problem with mine.
Outstanding weapon. I love the weight and the ability to add a number of accesories. Worth every penny.
Our department has three so far. Great patrol rifle. Very reliable.
Very versatile rifle, there is virtually no limit to customizing this thing. I carry one in Iraq and I like it so much I bought one for myself. Toss on a scope and you can snipe, toss on a gangster grip and you can look cool while you kick in doors. I slapped a 100 round Beta mag into mine and I have an urban suppression weapon!...not that I think I would ever need it, but it sure goes a long way to make friends at the range.
GREAT WEAPON
I have fired one, extremely accurate, easy to handle. I want one of my own. Departments should issue these.
One of the most reliable rifles I've ever owned. Accurate and affordable. A really good patrol rifle.
This is the civilian version of the M4 I carried in Iraq. It is very accurate and proven reliable. The only issue I have with it is the trigger travel and creep. Give it a good trigger job or replacement trigger, put a good optical sight on top and it will serve quite well.
I have this puppy in my trunk, and let me tell you it's accurate as hell!!!
I carry this at work an it gets the job done.
excellent to use for close quarter. Would add a optical sight.
This weapon platform is very reliable and always shoots straight.
Great weapon. I love mine.
I love this rifle. From the day I was issued it until now, I would not trade it in or cgange anything about it. I have it dialed in really good and have always shot well with it. Defenitately not affraid to take a 100 + yard shot with it.
Amazing weapon, easy to use and extremely accurate
Issued and carry one. Very accurate and reliable!
Highly recommended firearm. Very accurate and reliable.
you figure it out power
This product is used by our department. It is dependable and has never failed us. I would not choose any other weapon when in a fire fight.
A must have weapon here in Iraq. With all the available rail systems, compact size and when kept clean, dry lubed, functions pretty damn well in the extreme climate.
The best Flash hider is the yankee Hill phatom
I got bought my M4 two weeks ago, the price was higher then other M4's but you pay for what you get. Next to the Colt the Bushmaster is the best.
Just like the B.U.F.Flyer, its something over 40 you can trust! I have the extended suppressor on mine, after all, can't be waking up the neighbors at 3 in the morning. Darn alley cats! I'll fix 'em! No I don't really have the suppresor, wifey wouldn't let me have a suppresor (unless I get one for her baby nine, and I'm not doing that, she might use it on me!) but I do have the M4. No more Laurel Caynon Blvds, ya know?
Great weapon and fun to shoot. I put it in the car everytime I come to work. No reliability issues in my experience. Lots of options to go with it.
The Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 4 Carbine is a unique hybrid of traditional AR 15 design and space-age Carbon 15 materials. The Upper and Lower Receivers of the C15M4 Type are molded of Carbon 15 composite which offers a weight savings of 3/4 of a pound compared to the standard forged aluminum receivers. In addition, these molded receivers are completely impervious to moisture, rust or corrosion and offer an increase in strength over aluminum. The Carbon 15 material is the same through-out, so there is no surface finish to wear off or require maintenance.
All functional controls operate like the AR15 type rifle and the C15M4 Type will accept standard AR15 parts. A dual aperture rear sight offers windage adjustment, and the AR15 type standard front sight is elevation adjustable. A wide variety of scopes, red dot or holographic sights, or night vision equipment may be mounted on the Upper Receiver’s Picatinny rail.
The 14.5" barrel – chambered for the 5.56mm, but will also accept the nearly identical .223 Remington as well. It is chrome lined in both bore and chamber for long wear, and ease of maintenance. For control of muzzle rise, this carbine includes a permanently installed “Izzy” Compensator. A mil. spec. manganese phosphate outer coating insures protection of the barrel and all critical steel parts of the weapon, against corrosion and rust.
A Telestock offers light weight, carrying ease and quick handling. The telestock, pistol grip and two piece handguards are all molded of strong black thermoset composite material. The handguards are internally shielded against barrel heat build-up. The Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 4 comes with a 30 round magazine, safety and operational manual, and sling.
There are many more optional equipment for the Bushmaster M-4 carbine, though not for civilian applications. It has great accuracy for about 400 meters and is an excellent close order or entry weapon.
This is my Rock Star in the Band. Love this Weapon and it is always ready for my fingers to engage the trigger. I pack this baby, and it has never let me down. No jams And Always Wants to HELP the flock.
This one of my trusted partners during raids and swat call outs. It has never let me down. Our department has this weapon and the Rock River Arms version. This weapons is superior in my opinion with the RRA coming in a close second.
Rugged and reliable. Bushy's are a little on the pricey side, but quality is awesome. Would also recommend Rock River, CMMG, and Wilson Combat for equal quality.
Say what you want, I've never had a problem with my bushy. It eats everthing I feed it, is accurate, and inspires confidence in someone used to the M-16 family of weapons.
I have shot many M-4s in my time and I know alot of people are really into Rock River rifles right now but my first AR-15 I owned is a Bushmaster and I have held out for the rifle of my dreams. I now own a Bushmaster modular carbine and I love it. I have had zero count them zero issues except it doesnt cook dinner, It doesnt clean itself and bullets are really f*****g expensive right now. I love it. I would have traded my wife for one of these.
I like the fact that you get 2 mags with this gun the plastic case that comes with it is not very good. Rifle is fairly accurate right out of the box and with a few adjustments was dead on with in three rounds.
Another great rifle and one of the best I would only trade this for the H&K 416 but my department doesn't allow them.
This is the patrol rifle I use in civilian law enforcement...have spent quite a bit brining it up as close as I legally can to the military version I use when deployed with the Guard.
Outstanding carbine, for outstanding prices. Ive had a rail put on it, a harris bipod, and a Trijicon ACOG optic. Can use it to clear structures or as a designatied marksman weapon.
Shoots great! light weight! packs a punch
Great lightweight fire power, when you need a little something extra!
I've owned mine for 3 years. I have an Aimpoint scope and the only upgrade I need is a 3 point sling. Great rifle.
I own the GT Distributor's Texas M-4 version and I have shot about 1200 rounds thru the rifle in the last year and it still handles great and on target everytime. I would not have any other one. I carry it on patrol everyday.
This weapons is an awesome weapon that will compliment the decor in any evidence room. I have only handled one of these and it was from a guy who decided he wanted to swallow the barrel. Great weapon though.
I love this weapon!!! It's reliability has been proven in real life combat situations across the globe. It's like a great woman, take care of her & she'll take care of you.
Purchased this weapon in ketchikan Alaska - has worked beautifully - I have it all decked out with the bells and whistles and I have not had one problem with it on the range, or in service.
The M4A3 Bushmaster was the first carbine I ever fired. It was easy to use, effective, and accurate. I really like this carbine and would strongly recommend it to anyone.
A great weapon!!!! I use it for work, were just the sight of it can disperse most angry crowds. My wife and daugters also love to shoot it because of the low recoil. The perfect weapon for anyone, you gotta get one these.
Great rifle, but make sure you clean it if you shoot the steel cased ammo from Russia. The lacquer will glue a casing in the chamber if not cleaned.
My bushmaster is one of the best purchases I ever made for myself and used at work.
Have placed one of these in all of our patrol units. Very user friendly and very accurate. Fitted with Eotechs and flip up rear sights (just in case).
Very accurate out of the box. EOtech sight with LaRue tactical mount and rear sight for co-witness sight
With minimum sight-in time I scored 98% on a police night rifle course with irons, can't complain much.
Would like to see more features brought up to mil-spec though, and a little pricey I think.
Overall, a good basic platform.
Absolutely the bomb. Accurate out past 100 yards yet compact enough for building clearing. Add the option Streamlight handguard with built in flash light and this gun kicks A$$
Great price for an accuarate and dependable rifle.
I dont know if its my Bushmaster of not, but I havent had this many problems with my rifle. First off the sights were aligned all the way to the left. I gave it back to the armory and they determined the barrel was slightly bent. so, got a new barrel. Second off no matter how much I clean or oil this gun it seens to jam every time I take it out to the range, The magazines i was supplied with also have issues feeding the weaon.
Besides all the negatives, the weapon is accurate, light weight, small, and smooth to fire.
I have this version. Only problem I had was after the first couple of hundred rounds, the hex-head bolts on the top of the carrier key came loose. Bushmaster doesn't stamp them down as well as other brands. Caused a large amounts of single shots followed by jams. Very easy fix though. Other than this, very high quality. Have to burn off the coating with a few hundred rounds for it to smooth out too.
I have this model with the 11" barrel and Gemtech silencer as a SWAT weapon. Some of the others had the same hex bolt problems but I removed them, cleaned them up and reset them. No one has had a problem since. Full auto fires at a controllable rate. Fitted with an ACOG 1x and flashlilght I am perfectly content with this as my weapon of choice.
Great weapon!
Awesome weapon! Same as my military service rifle but without burst. Extremely accurate depending on the quality ammo I am using. Relatively light weight, compact, and it gets the job done right.
I carry this, my Remington 870 and Glock 23 on a regular basis. Drop it, drown it, throw it, smash it....it still works like a charm.
Maybe their quality control has improved. We had a bunch of them in service, but they were trash, and we run with Colt's now. Seem far superior to the Bushmasters.
if they where a vest and rob a bank you can still takem out
great AR series rifle for anybody,I love mine...very accurate, never jams and will fire any kind of ammunition safely and reliably. Great rifle
I lovethis weapon...I fell much better on patrol these days knowing that the Bushmaster with me and ready for duty.
I ENJOY SHOOTING AND SHOOTING THIS WEAPON IS NO EXCEPTION. YOU CAN GET CRAZY WITH IT AND SET IT UP WITH ALL KIND OF ACCESSORIES OR KEEP IT STOCK. IT IS A GREAT WEAPON FOR INSIDE A BUILDING OR SITTING ON A PERIMETER.
Reliable and accurate. Pull the trigger and round goes down range every time.
It's my primary weapon on the SWAT team. I really like it. They are really dependable.
There are not enough stars to rate this weapon correctly. As far as I'm concerned this is the only rifle made the others are just guns.
This rifle is very reliable and very dependable.
We carry these carbines in our squads. They have proven to be very dependable and durable.
Flawless. Have never had one problem in the 4 years I have owned this weapon. Always accurate!
I have owned mine for over eight years, I have used on & off duty. This a great weapon, with no malfunctions of any kind. I have retired, and gave it to my son. He will be testing for entry in a major size Police Department.
Just bought it and fell in love.
There are alot of high end, expensive M4 weapon systems out there. I have owned a bushmaster m4 for 4 years now and i couldn't be more pleased with it. Besides being well price it offers supreme accuracy, full customization, and reliability.
I've had several over the years and never a problem.
excellent rifle
for this weapon not being a colt, it is awsome. low maintance and handled like an original colt.
Love it.
For the weapon itself its a steep price but its worth every penny
it is really accurate and very reliable i enjoy using it
Bought mine about a year ago. Went simple M4/A3 with flip up sights and eotech on top. A little high but comparable to all others with price and performance. Easy to use and accurate as hell.
I bought one recently. I luv it! I just need to buy a scope. Anyone with suggstions for a decent one at a fair price, i'd appreciate hearing about it.
I HAVE FIRE THIS TYPE OF GUN ONE TIME AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I HAVE BEEN ITCHING TO GET ONE, AND WHEN MY MONEY PERMITS ME TO I SHALL.
Our Dept. uses this rifle but in the shorty muzzle. It fits nicely up front of my patrol unit and deadly when used by a well trained officer!!
The best AR/M4 company out there. The flat top is essential to co witness an EoTech or any other HWS system. My personal rifle is outfitted with a shortened fixed ace stock, hogue grip, extended tac latch, GG&G flip up sights, EoTech, quad rails, 6P LED Surefire w/ pressure pad & vertical grip. The sky is the limit when it comes to real estate possiblities on the rifle. Bring your check book!
I have this weapon put and eotech sitght plus 4 power magnifier, and rear flip up sight. quad rail system , flashlight , front grip and single pont bungee black hawk sling. love it.
GREAT LONG GUN. EVERY ROAD OFFICER ON THE DEPARTMENT HAS ONE. ONE OF THE BEST BUYS THE DEPARTMENT HAD BOUGHT IN YEARS. VERY ACCURATE OUT TO A 100 YARDS AND FURTHER FOR A TRAINED SHOOTER.
We have three in our station with Eotec 552 holosights, GG&G back up rear sights, Blackhawk 3 point SWIFT slings, and Streamlight tlr-1 fore end lights. 0 problems. Great weapon. Easy maint. program. If you are looking for an armorers course highly reccomend Bushmaster's program through Blackwater.
Just about everything you want in a rifle
I've had my bushmaster for several years. Thousands of rounds have been fired through it. I have never experienced a malfunction. The weapon is accurate and is built for L.E.O.'s who need them. They do need proper and timely maintenance and the weapon platform is great for additions and adding performance accessories.
Grate rifle. I was issued one then went and baught one of my own.
Everyone should own one or two lol.
I don't like the short barrel where the flash supresser don't remove for upgrades
