Solid...puts me at a 120 on the POST course every time and allows me to turn in a qualifying score on the BULLSEYE course as well. Smooth as silk....love it!

This gun is awesome no doubt about it, but I am having difficulty finding dealers with holsters in stock for this weapon. I need a Safariland 6280 right hand basketweave finish that accomodates a TLR-1 light. Any help on locating this holster would be greatly appreciated.

Great weapon. Our agency transitioned to this about two years ago from the Colt 1991A1. A lot of the guys complained about the switch. No real gripes about the glock, just "It's not a colt".

Out of 50 plus weapons the only mechanical issue has been two magazines that needed repair.

I loved my colt, it shot to point of aim out of the box, never had any mechanical issues, but it could be finicky about ammo. The rest of our Colts often needed work to correct sight alinement or feeding issues. Once they were fine tuned they were excellent weapons.

The G35 however is a different story. I haven't seen one in our inventory yet that wouldn't shoot to point of aim. They have fed all the ammo we have tried, and they won't break the budget. Not that cost should be the concern, but we all are at the mercy of the bean counters.

For the most part shooting scores improved and the officer maintanence on the Glock is greatly reduced. We tested the G22 and the G35, the recoil from the 22 was more of a torqueing or twisting, but the 35 had more of a "push back" recoil like the colt. 35 was easier to control in rapid strings. Physically almost same size as colt, 1/8" longer and a little thicker.

All in all the G35 has been good for us, local PD's issue same weapon. Great gun, accessories market is just catching up with it though.

Only gets 4.5 stars because nothing is perfect.

We at the Kentucky State Police changed over to these from the SW 10mm. These guns are so much easier to use, clean and shoot. The gun is very light and is one of the best guns I have shot other than my Glock 27 back up.

The MSRP is a lot lower for cops with proof of sworn duty. I bought this one w/night sights for 550.00 new

While this gun was initially marketed as a competition gun, I see it as the thinking man's duty gun. The G35 is a model 22 with 7/10 inch longer barrel and slide. The top of the slide is milled out for balance (this gun is not ported).

The longer barrel means two things. Improved sight radius and improved ballistics. While admittedly these are not huge gains in either area, when it comes to pistols I'll take any advantage increase I can get.

The G35 also comes from the factory with 3.5 lb connector, extended slide stop, and extended magazine release. I don't care for the extended magazine release, and neither does a State Trooper friend of mine who carries the G35. We have both replaced ours with the factory mag button. The extened slide stop is a piece that I think should replace the original on all Glock firearms. The 3.5 lb connector is a matter of taste, and I don't think that it is any less safe than the 5.5 lb, as long as your brain is engaged.

My department started issuing this weapon about 5 years ago. Several officers complained about the extra length and said it was not conducive for patrol use because of the slightly larger holster it requires. It is only marginally longer than a 1911 Colt. On the flip side, several officers also really like this model, including me. Our qualifying scores went up significantly at the range. This can be attributed to the longer sight radius. The increased accuracy of this weapon over a Glock 22 totally justifies any slight inconvenience of it's larger size. I highly recommend the Glock 35.

I carried one on patrol for a while and loved it. I quickly replaced the factory sights w/ MMC adj sights. Glock factory adj sights aren't worth the material they are made out of. I also replaced the slide stop and extended mag release with the non-extended parts.

This is the best Glock available IMO. Shoots amazingly accurate and very controllable.

I sent my 35 to Robar and had the grip reduction, and NP3 on the moving parts as well as the slide. Sweet looking piece. Shoots like, well lets say its a tack driver. Beautiful gun.

It's my issued primary (Glock 27 back-up) Wouldn't trade it for anything but it does get hung up the seat belt buckle and my holster gets roughed up. Has been affectionately referred to as the Virginia Slim. I would recommend it highly. A poor shooter will shoot well with this weapon.

This is our department issue weapon. I believe this weapon is not practical for every day patrol. It may do great things for you at the range, but the long barrel is no help for the streets.

Great accuracy, a little too long for an off-duty weapon

I love the accuracy of this longer slide. I used one on my last qualification for the state. every round but one was in the 10. one in 9 ring oh well. Then get issued a 226 9mm . ah the joys of working for a gov agency.

After trading my Model 22 with a Sgt who is all that have these at our Dept I'll never go back. Much more accurate and even though it is longer out of the holster it deffintely out shoots the Glock 22 any day.
