I was a S&W fan for over 30 years. I recently purchased the Sig Sauer P229 DAK and I was really impressed. The action is smooth, the accuracy unmatched. and it's handling was just as I expected "GREAT". You can't compromise on quality.

Excellent quality, but i'm not a big fan of the long trigger pull. I'll stick to Glock and 1911 variants.

I have been carrying a Sig for 16 + years and love them. We recently switched to the 229 DAK and I am not 100% sold yet. The trigger pull takes for ever and it effects accuracy. I understand the whole safety issue with the trigger pull and accidental discharge but I do miss my 226 double/single action. (and yes I still de-cock my 229)

I just purchased a gently used one...I love the trigger. I was a Glock fan for many years. However, the Sig is just such a well made gun. Excellent off-duty piece.
