| Description: | Made from the 60's through the early 90's. Excellent quality. Well balanced, very reliable and accurate. |
The S&W model 19 is an old workhorse. They have become somewhat of a collectors item. I carred one for a short time back in the early 80's, and found it to have a very smooth action, was very reliable, and I was able to shoot Master consistently with it at the range. I carried a 6 inch, but the 4 inch was very popular back then If they still made the model 19 6 inch, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.. Excellent revolver
Simply beautiful. Got mine in 1977, the very first piece I ever bought. Very smooth and a pleasure to shoot.
i've owned several with no problems. a pleasure to shoot.
Beautiful weapon and very functional. Never had a single problem with mine and it is extremely accurate.
Carried one in the early 70's very good weapon lighter weight than the old Model 28 & 29 S & W,
although it was common knowledge of the time that they would not hold up under a steady diet of 357 rounds, that was why other than qualification shoots we used 38 rounds. At the time there were also some department that would not let you use 357 rounds only 38. Of course in time the wheel gun took its place in history and we all switched to semi-automatics.
Great 38. Was stand issue for a long time, 6" barrell.
Still have my first one.
