| Description: | Manufactured in Croatia, the Springfield XD-9 Tactical replaced my Glock-17 9mm. If you haven't squeezed a few off with this gun, you're missing out. |
Springfield has had 15 years to improve upon what the Glock was lacking... and the Glock was not lacking much. Read up on this firearm at www.wikipedia.org. It discusses this firearm extensively.
Wish I could use mine at work. Military wont go for it!! I have used and owned plenty of diffrent models but nothing that feels this good. I cant get it to malfunction. I love it. I will buying a sub next.
I love this gun. I love the “extra safety’s” always afraid my lil one will get a hold of one (he dose know gun safety and we keep them put up) but less so with my Springfield with the way you have to press all at once. love it
I love this gun it is a smooth squeeze, accurate, and feel the extra safety is important for a personal weapon.
Improve on Glock??? There is no improving on a Glock. Glock perfection!! Remember? Anyways, if I am not mistaken, this gun was not even originally made by Springfield. Wasn't it originally made in Croatia or something.
This firearm and the Smith & Wesson M&P40 came out around the same time. I went out and bought the M&P 40 knowing that I would be the only one around with it. One of my good friend bought the XD 9 and was bragging about it. I invited him to go to the range with me one day so we could compare. The XD won hands down. Next day, traded my M&P40 for an XD. Love this pistol.
Never have had any failures or jams, even when limp-wristing a dirty weapon.
Decent enough accuracy for combat.
A wide range of aftermarket accesories, including a trigger kit which vastly improves the trigger.
An excellent buy for those worried about the glock kBs or needing something that fits their hand better.
Excellent shooter.
Had a chance to fire this weapon over the weekend. One word can describe it: OUTSTANDING. The added security features are a huge selling point. It is a fine pistol.
I have a XD 9mm sub-compact and carry it everyday. I think dollar for dollar this is the best overall gun made to date. The saftey, the 16+1 capacity, and very accurate. And at a price of around $500 dollars you can't beat it.
This is my favorite hand gun. Reliable, accurate and you cant beat the grip safety for fast draw and shoot
This is the first XD that i have ever owned. I bought it from a co worker who was selling it to get rid of it. I have never fired a weapoin that is as comfortable in my hand. I have been caring a Sig Sauer but will be switching to this the next time qualification roll around.
I have shot over a thousand rounds reputable ammo thu my XD9 without any problems.
I bought some bulk ammo once and about every 3rd round would misfire or stovepipe. Dont buy cheep bulk ammo!
I dont own one but I have held one in the store. I cant wait to fire one!! It feels great in my hand and I like its features!!
The entire line of XD handguns are awesome. The technology and thought process in engineering these personal weapons has gone above and beyond perfection. as you will see in my photos, I have the XD 45 ACP Tactical. I had the opportunity to fire 9mm service pistol and qualify with it and shot a 98.4 at the Rutherford County Sheriff Department Range. Overall a great handgun. Definately resomended for purchase. For those of you who are not familiar with the XD line of weapons, here is a link to their site. They have a gun for you, Whether you are looking for an amazing CCW, or a 13+1 .45 APC, they meet all your needs.

I love this gun. The grouping is unbelievable.
When I went to replace my last 9mm (a s&w sigma) I took my time an shot a lot of different guns. I couldn't find a gun that fit my hand better then this one. I have about 1500 rounds though it at this point (but I have only owned it for 5 months now). I have had one problem where the spent casing was not ejected all the way and stopped the slid from coming all the way forward. Of course I had shot about 500 rounds since the last cleaning, but that was the point: to find out at what point it will jam.
I really enjoy my XD-9mm I am able to share ammo with my Sig-226 9mm and 9mm ammo is cost effective for me. These two hand-guns are currently my favorites, and they are both effective and accurate. End of story.
