I absolutely love this handgun. I haven't had lots of firearms training (and I'm going through the academy right now), but this pistol is absolutely beautiful. Fits perfectly in my hand, enough recoil to let me know it's there but not enough to make me feel at all uncomfortable, and dead-on accurate. Two thumbs up in my book. I got the P220 Carry (3.9" barrel) with a rail on the front, night-sights, double-action/single-action. LOVE IT!

This is my favorite handgun I have ever shot. I have carried it for over 7 years while on the Sheriff's Office. I have fired several thousand rounds through my Sig and never had a single malfunction. I have shot it from 10 degrees up to 90 degrees with high humidity and never had an issue with it. It also fits well in my hand and has less recoil than many other 45 cals. I have fired.

I own the p220 DAO with crimson trace, my favorite pistol to date. Even without the crimson trace turned on, it was the best shootting pistol I've tried. I tarined with these in the academy ( both large and small frame). The night sights ( if you don't have the coin for crimson trace) would be a very highly recommended addition. Did have a few miss fires, but nothing a little tap, rack, scan can't fix.

Tough gun. Accurate. I've been carrying auto pistols for more than 30 years now (Colt, S&W, Beretta, Browning). I got the Sig P220 carry about seven months ago after I broke the ejector on my duty gun, a S&W 4506. I've fired around 2,000 rounds through it with no malfunctions.

Although very accurate, this one shot about 10 inches low at 25 yards and got worse as the range increased. Requests to get Sig to change the sights fell on deaf ears ("we sell lots of guns-get used to it") until I contacted one of the VPs just below the CEO. He got the sights changed out in just a few days.

I'm not quite as good with it yet as I was with the S&W 45 (2" groups at 50 yards with the Smith), but the barrel is an inch shorter; it's getting there and I'm optimistic. Great weapon.

excellent 45 cal handgun have the carry version very accurate and is the same size as my service pistol sig 229.

I have used a sig p220 since 1991. I have used two and both have been excellent weapons.

Love every aspect of this gun. It has yet to give me any problems!

one fine semi auto

I used to own one of these and it was a very dependable and accurate weapon. It was a little big for my small hands, nonetheless it is a fine weapon.

Way back in 1985, when I still carried the agency issue wheel gun (S&W 686), we got the word we could buy, qualify and carry an auto. As it happened, our agency "SHOT" show was held within the week. I shot everything at the show and finally came to the Sig table. They had only a single magazine left for the P220 and let me shoot it. After shooting many very autos that day, I could not believe just how fine the P220 felt and shot. I was hooked, bought one immediately and carried it up till three years ago when I cycled to the agency issued Glock 21. I still carry the P220 off duty w/ an extra mag. Sweetest shooting pistol I have ever used. I also transitioned from being a right hand shooter x 35 years to a lefty and shot even better with the Sig. Quality weapon all the way.
