I have been a motor officer for over 7 years and found the Road King to be the best over all MC for patrol use.

I have ridden the Road King and Dyna Glide. The Road King RULES!! The Dyna had a very light rear end (over all weight) and would break traction when the wind blew. The Road King is great...

The 2007 Road King is the third Road King that we have used for patrol and traffic. I like the RK over the Electra Glide as I prefer the windshield version over the bat wing faring. The new 103ci engine is much faster than last years. but runs a whole lot hotter and lugs at low speeds (under 5mph for any distance).

I liked the 2005 so well that I purchased the one that I rode when the lease was up! Great bike, which has carried me more than 15,000 miles since March '06.

The dept I worked for had some of these. They said it was a little too heavy, several dropped them before. But overall they liked it.

Best patrol bike on market. If you need even more speed, get a VROD.

Our agency has used these since the conception of our motor unit. They look great, run strong, but they could be a little louder as far as pipes are concerned.

Now that I've retired and can afford one, it's one of the next things on my list to get. Still looking for the exact one that I want. Already have all the gear, just need the wheels.

I own a 2003 FLHPI. There isn't any bike I'd rather ride! I just wish my department had a Motor Patrol.

i ride this bike in my duties and I dont like it for the simple reasons. This bike is good if you are using it for fun but in new orleans the type of riding we do makes this bike a piece of junk

We recently took delivery of our 2008 FLHRP and I must admit it's definitely different from our other Road Kings. The ABS brakes are wonderful; smooth and efficient. The "throttle-by-wire" is OK, although I've heard complaints of people actually rolling the throttle in the opposite direction when they turn the bike off and when they start it back up the engine revs to about 3K rpms. I've not experienced that problem though. Overall a very comfortable, agile bike that I don't mind spending a 12 hr shift on.

Though not as fast as your common sport bike - the FLHP Road King allowed me to steadily remain in any bikes mirrors. Handling on white lines in rush hour traffic along any arterial roadway in New York City was always a breeze. I loved this bike so much so that I purchased a new FLHP Police Special in 2004 - in 2006 I upped to a Ultra-glide Classic, which I since regret. The Raod King as a patrol bike and as a POV were by far the best wheels to ever use.

When I was a motor officer I rode a 2003 HD Road King and it ruled the road, this one must be just as good or better!
