    For small departments needing traffic enforcement on a tight budget you can't beat the Sportster. Handles well, vibration is minimal and it lasts forever if maintained properly. You just can't beat a Harley in that environment. For larger cities or those requiring extensive highway coverage, get a VROD.

    Our department had one and it was terrible! The seat was uncomfortable, The stubby handle bars had you constantly leaning forward. The saddle bags would not hold a forms holder or a laser/radar gun. Our bike only came with two blue light on the front, no other visibility. I love Harley, but for police work, I will never ride one of these again.
