GOOD BIKE.
This bike is a great efficient and agile bike for Police Work. I drive a BMW GS 650 f as recreation and its abilities make it the perfect law enforcement tool. Jump curves, climb hills, chase suspects, get to that unreachable accident……part enduro, part adventure rider, and part street racer…….this bike can do it. I average anywhere from 65 to 70 miles per gallon. The seating on the stock bike could stand a little more cushion…..which can be improved with after market seats. That’s not a big necessity unless you are going to drive hours on end without taking a break, wait that’s what Motormen do.
BMW should think about offering this package, if they don’t already, with the new 2008 GS 800 f ……it looks athletic and fun…….I haven’t rode it yet but I am looking forward to it.
Our department has three of these and we love them. They are fast, agile and will go ANYWHERE! They are the ideal motor for campus patrol. The bad new is they are no longer made. Word on the street is .... BMW is about ready to debut it's replacement, the 800. I can't wait.
