Great book! I got it a few years ago when i took the NYPD test. It has everything in it to help you study and prepare, including practice tests.

I own this book and It seems to be so far a great book, I've looked at the other books and this one seems to cover more then the others I've looked through. In the future I tell you how I do.

If you need to read this book to pass a police officer entrance exam, you probably aren't smart enough for the job.

It has been some time (the Quigley Books) since there have been exceptional police exams books for the entry level applicants as the main focus from author/authors.Not only does it prepare the potental officer as far as the written test, it offers a myriad of other helpful hits from professional behavior and reactions a police officer should present himself during and after a particular incidnet or event. This is just not pages filled with questions and answers to get you passed the written aspect of police testing. it continues with how you approach this position, coupled with the responsibilities that come with this position. I find this book to be a total assest, and one long coming to assist the potentional applicants on how to study, how to behave, how to react, how to dechipher their responsibilities at the station, in the vehicle and in a working situation.

I am only about 1/4 of the way through the book but I have already discovered SO MUCH helpful information and tools! I will revise or repost another review after I take my test in a few weeks.
