I'm thinking about getting one of these. Has anyone used this laser before? What do you think?

Theres ups and downs to this laser. The upside is, the blinking dot instead of constant catches the human eye much quicker so the suspect knows there is definatly a weapon pointed at their chest. the downside is the activatin switch is where the take down lever or button is. So sometimes the laser comes on when u dont want it to. Its real embarrassing when someone comes up to you and says " um, excuss me sir, but your laser dot is on" you look down to see a blinking dot on the ground next to your leg.

but overall its pretty good, but it could cost alot less.

Very handy, but easy to kill batteries on my 1911. Holster engages laser.

This is a good product-we could not have one per policy but I had one anyway. Dumb ass Lt's could never figure it out that I had one!

I agree catm, this would be an excellent product, if only the switch were somewhere else. I prefer the pointer to be closer to the barrel, instead of off the the side.

Simple to install, simple to use. I've had mine since 2001 and it was worth every penny. The laser works not only to assist aiming but to deter the suspect.

A bit pricey but reliable, durable, and scares the "h@&&" out of the bad guy when you "red dot" the chest...or head!!!

Great product, a bit overpriced though... And, the larger than normal slide release on the glock makes it hard to fit certain holsters. Otherwise, excellent.

Too easy and useful to not have it, the only reason I don't is that it's not authorized.

Great if for just the deterrent factor.... another item that should be standard issue.

This is a nice addition to my Glock 22. It is very intimidating to perps! I wish the price would go down a little so I could buy one for all of my pistols.

I use the Lasermax in my Sig. The up side is that it is easy to acquire targer and accurate. The down side is the batteries die too fast (and they are expensive) and after shooting a mag on the range the soot covers the laser. After one mag you only see a small dot and after two mags there is no laser. I wish I had gone with the Crimson Trace.
