| Description: | Beretta's Cx4 Storm redefines the pistol-caliber carbine, with racy and radical lines from the masters of industrial design at Giugiaro. Form follows function in a symphony of smooth, sweeping curves made possible by the use of modern high-strength techno polymers. Beretta's use of cutting-edge materials also keeps weight down to just 53/4 lbs., making the Cx4 a pleasure to carry, whether in the field or on duty. Five different models accept full-size Beretta magazines from the 92/96 and Cougar series pistols in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 Auto, including large-capacity restricted and pre-ban styles. The cold hammer-forged 16.6-inch barrel is chrome-lined for long life and corrosion resistance with any ammo. |
Great Rifle, light weight, and compact.
I love shooting this gun. It is great to have and once dressed up, it sure looks mean !!
For a rifle that shoots a pistol round the is the BEST I have shot. Right out of the box this shot 1 inch off center at 50 yards. This was a lot of fun to shoot.
I own one of these and I found out that at 100yds it is dead on just using the iron sights, Had one minor problem with it and took it to Beretta in Waldorf Md. and it was fixed in two days. Great weapon and nice and light weight with a good feel to it.
We just got these 2 weeks ago for our vehicles...Took it to the range qual. expert right out of the box..Awesome rifle..Lightweight..accurate..
I shot this before a few years back at a local indoor range. I gotta say being out of the marine corps with the rifles i've shot this is one heck of a great pistol rifle combo accurate as hell. Iron sights are exactly the same as an M16 (without the wind adjustment knobs).
A very user friendly carbine that you can accesorize the *#@! out of!!!! Accurate, lightweight and dependable the CX4 is a fine weapon. I have mine in .40 and it makes and incredible combo with the Beretta .96. Highly recommend to everyone looking for something in the carbine realm.
I am a firearms instructor for our agency. I had tested numerous carbines for use with our members and the Beretta CX4, by far, was the easiest and most accurate to shoot. Additionally, cleaning this weapon is simple, and can be done just as quickly as a standard pistol. I recommend this anyone looking to add or upgrade a weapon for their agency. This makes even "average" shooters look like experts!
Light weight easy to use.
I would rather have a CAR AR-15 in 5.56/.223,,Ruger Mini-14 .223, Mini-30 7.62x39 or SKS in 7.62x39 (minus the bayonet of course) if I was a County deputy.. If I was a City LEO and was autherized to carry a patrol rifle it would be a Ruger PC-4 .40 S&W or a M1 Carbine with Cor Bon JHP ammo..Beretta make fine products but the Cx4 in not for me.. Currently I carry a CAR AR-15 5.56/.223,With Federal 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in 20 round mags in 5.56 bandoliers that the Mil ammo comes in,This way its easier to grab the AR and a bandolier of 20 round mags, just sling them around the shoulder and go. Two of my marked mags have 62 grain SS109 rounds in them for penetration if suspect is behind heavy cover....Thats my 2 cents....
While the thing shoots fine and is plenty accurate, the bar from the butstock is totally in the way and prevents manipulation of the safety or mag release by right handed shooters with shorter fingers. I have an extreme dislike for the weapon as everytime I have the misfortune of having a student on the range for a patrol rifle class they manages to drop the mag when placing the weapon on safe. I have many other problems with the gun but to summarize - it has no place in police service.
The bar on the stock is a BATFE requirement so that it becomes a "thumbhole" stock and isn't under the same restrictions of other weapons. I just feel that a lot of the NFA and related legislation makes life harder on those of us who need proper, high-quality weapons to survive, whether you are an LEO in a large city, a small city or a private citizen interested in exercising your Constitutional right to bear arms in the interest of self-defense. Weapons constructed so as not to appear to be "assault weapons" can be down right dangerous to the user. I will never move to California, for example, because the amount of licensing and modification I would have to make to my firearms would make them almost utterly useless. This is another piece that belongs in a museum, a collection, or in an amateur's hands. Another weapon I would never stake my life on, strangely enough made by Beretta. They used to make such good firearms. Sad.
power drag and take. taken forcefully.{power flow}this was my first harming tool during my gravity.comes with love, permission with strength. "power dragger"
fact file[ing] smith revolver pistol was the first harm i knew with inscription.e.g.name during my service in the second move while i forcefully and happily collected this bareta from a group senior during my training at first assembly. power and love is this gun second name.
AWESOME weapon! Just fired it last night, very accurate. So lite weight, don't even know your carrying it but it will definetly do some damage when needed!!!!!
Alsome rifle shots great
Great rifle. Very accurate. Plus the you can switch which side it ejects the casing for those of us that are southpaws.
a lot of fun to shoot
A great entry rifle, especially for left handed shooters. I do not experience the blow back from the chamber that I have with other bullpup style rifles. The trigger could use some work.
Another point about this carbine is that it is built to handle NATO ball ammo. I know what you're thinking - "That's the stuff with the over-penetration problem that's causing our sidearms to be ineffective in Iraq." Yes, NATO ball is high ressure, high penetration ammo. The up side is it's high pressure, high penetration ammo. With the added muzzle velocity from the longer barrrell of the CX4 Carbine, you have muzzle velocities approaching some rifles. When would you pull out a carbine instead of a sidearm?
Cant miss with eotek sights. not really enough firepower.
Light. Compact. Accurate for a pistol caliber carbine. By rifle caliber standards nothing to write home about, but with so much of our work at shorter ranges (<100 meters) these days, this seems to be a perfect compromise; particularly in larger jurisdictions with with special weapons contingents. Nice concept well executed.
We carry Beretta handguns and sharing magazines is an inspiration. Loadout is simple and clean.
Being a lefty, I enjoy the ambidextrous nature of this rifle - easy to change, even for a novice. Just be careful to get the ejection port set up properly. Accessory rails can be placed pretty much everywhere.
Easy to sell to politically. The, "It's the same round with greater accuracy so less liabilty," argument is easy for electeds to understand.
Downsides: The charging handle feels like it's stapled on and it *is* a pistol caliber. If you're working beyond 100 meters, forget it.
All-in-all, a pretty well executed, law-enforcement focused carbine.
Great Rifle!
